Thank you! I have been amazed that I have been the only person whinging about this GLARING issue that breaks the game for me personally.

The CPU NEVER doubles post or iso players.

If you want and you are skilled enough using one player. You could score 100pts at will.
My first game post patch was to test this game breaking issue.
My superleague Roster.
01 LAKERS [me] vs 07 SPURS.

I only went to Shaq. No one else took a shot. every play called for him.
1st half score.
LAKERS 54- SPURS 46.

SHAQ: 54pts. NOT ONE DOUBLE TEAM.


2K12 is a dog because of this issue.
I cant play this game because I know I can simply use the teams best post player and score over and over again and the cpu will never force me to look elsewhere.
I guarrantee all Laker fans out there, you could simply use Gasol or bynum exclusively. You dont have to use Kobe at all to score. just dump it to one of your bigs, back down shoot. [or put kobe in the post and do the same]. You could AVERAGE 8Oppg with either of these guys if you wanted to.
You could average 80ppg with any good post/iso scorer from any team.
How this could be overlooked I have no Idea.

They don't let you move a controller over to the cpu side in the options and change the settings/strategies like they used to do ?

I didn't get the game on ps3 yet. Was waiting to see if this patch was any good & for the real NBA season to start up. Trying to decide if It's worth it from reading thru this thread is tough with all the conflicting reports.

Played a little on pc when it came out but couldn't handle the inability to play man to man defense . I couldn't control my player because he was sliding all over the place like i stated earlier.

Could never fastbreak, while the CPU would have no problems...The unstoppable Hakeem up & unders by everyone was really unrealistic and annoying too.

Whew finally made it through the thread.

One question for the guys who think the patch was all placebo or for the guys who don't see a difference in the gameplay. Did you reset your sliders and play the game on the defaults with default rosters ?

Does anyone who says the Ai doesn't go inside to howard have a capture card ? I have seen snippits of bad gameplay but I would like to see a whole 12 min Qtrs just out of curiosity's sake.

FYI I spoke to 2k about the double teams and fastbreak speed. Have no idea if anything will come of it but after the patch I mentioned both issues to them so we don't have to keep re-posting those two issues over and over and over hoping they see it.

I would also love to see a 3rd or 4th qtr miracle comeback if anyone has a whole quarter posted anywhere.

I was down 10 to the Magic in the 4th quarter . Came back won by 1 . I was playing with the Thunder.
