You can manually change lines using the auto line change setting,....change on the fly too.
You won`t have this issue any more,....although you might not be able to see who the other team is putting on for a line.

custom soundtrack menu music, intermission songs playing as home team win, and slow loading times for save files are still not fixed.

you have to re-do everything again. i mean u need to set it up again just like how you did it the first time. i know its kinda waste of time since you already did that prior to the patch. but what can we do, i just do as i pass along each games.

I'm not totally satisfied with the game, my biggest issue is what most people call the glue issue, having played hockey, i wish i could handle the puck through all three zones, uninterrupted. However, the game as a whole is still very playable, at least in my opinion. I've never had the game freeze, and I've had the regular amount of "WTF HOW THE F DID THE FIN COMPUTER SCORE ON MY FIN GOALIE WITH A SHOT FROM RIGHT FIN THERE" and of course "WELL JC I GUESS MY DMEN DECIDED TO LEAVE THEIR INSTICTS AT THEIR FIN HOTEL ROOM" moments, but nothing more than I'd expect. I've noticed in particular the CPU screens the goalie more, and scores more on those screens. They also make some crazy pass interceptions, but oh well, it's still fun to me.

But I'm a bit disappointed to hear that apparently the pass reception ease slider is still not working. As someone mentioned, it seemed to work well with '11'...but not with '12'. I do miss seeing pucks deflect off of sticks when fired at the player from too close.

Also not hearing anything about the cpu's pass accuracy being toned down. I was really hoping for that too.

But of course glad that they've released the patch. And hope they continue to support the game with future tuners.
I too was disappointed pass reception ease was not altered with this update. Typically they do some significant tuning following coding changes in the patch, so we'll see I guess. Technical issue or design decision... who knows. They're playing it close to the vest this year to say the least.

As for CPU pass accuracy, I recently lowered pass speed to 1 (from 2) and I'm regularly seeing CPU passing % in the low 70s (w/ interceptions @ 0). With it @ 2 and higher interceptions setting, I believe it was usually pushing 80, if not a little higher. Aside from the raw numbers, it feels better as they can't whip it around quite as well. I'm not sure what the default is or what you're using, but perhaps it's worth a try if you're not satisfied currently.

Another Patch?

NHL 12 PATCH RELEASED, ADDS WINNIPEG JETS

First update to the hockey game brings gameplay and online fixes

Posted by SpectralShock on Nov 2, 2011 - 5:00pm EST (Yesterday)

EA Sports has released the first patch for NHL 12, adding some fan-requested fixes and changes to the hockey game.

As posted on the official game forums, the full patch notes include:
* Winnipeg Jets 2011-2012 jerseys, pants and socks
* Fix various game crashes in offline modes
* Several physics improvements in regards to collisions with other players/goalies
* Reduced the number of online pauses so that 4 or more users on a team now have 2 pauses and anything less than 4 has 1 pause
* Separated each position’s Position, Teamplay and Stat grades in the Online Performance tracker

The patch addresses many issues that players have reported, however many are left unsatisfied. It took fans a few requests for the full patch notes to be posted, as the original thread contained barely any detailed information as it does now. Fans also note that some issues remain, such as offline console freezing, double sound glitch, and even the new Jets don't have the correct coloring on their uniforms.

Perhaps most troubling is that rumours are circulating this may be the only patch that the game will get, as the bugdet is limited. Given EA's recent announcement of stellar NHL 12 sales in the first week, this seems very curious.*

NHL 12 is in stores now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

*so, will there be another patch?

Re: NHL 12 Patch 1.03 Details, Available Now For PS3, Nov. 1 For 360

thought i'd chime in with some post-patch findings...first the "bad":

1) my goal horn is all messed up now...it's playing the horn with music when before the patch it was just playing the horn...i read above that you need to "redo" your settings post-patch, so i'm hoping that works

2) anyone else finding it hard to put together a string of wins/losses?...i win 1, lose 1, win 1, lose 1, and so on and so on...i don't want to say that it seems fixed, but when the CPU fired a shot from just within the blue line with 2 seconds left in the 3rd to tie it, it did seem a bit fishy.

3) injuries...there are WAYYYYY too many injuries occuring for my taste...i had to lower injuries to 0/0 on the slider and there are still a lot happening...anyone else seeing this?

the "good":

1) penalties...FINALLY, the CPU is getting called for a variety of penalties...i've seen my first double-minor (slashing), a boarding call, and even a game misconduct for checking from behind...SWEET!

2) setting up plays...noticed a considerable difference in the CPU AI when they're in my zone, or when I'm setting up in their zone...the CPU actually moves around (behind the net, looks to get open) and it makes for a much more "sim" type game in my opinion.

3) tighter defense...maybe its just me, but it seems like the CPU defense does a better job of poking the puck away or tying you up on the boards post-patch, which in turn makes it harder to score

all in all, i think the patch has made it a significantly better game...now only if the rosters could be fixed up...

I would agree with this. My findings, however...and of course, I'm not sure whether to blame the tuner or the patch, but I suspect a combination of both:

1. The CPU now seems to have a new check animation that I hadn't seen before, and it makes my blood boil. I'll call it the "juggernaut." Basically, a CPU player with little to no momentum can do something like a horse collar tackle on my player. I thought maybe it was random until I saw it about three or four more times over the course of a few games. Happens at least once a game. I'd love it if my players could do the same to the CPU, but alas, without momentum, my team will have all the hitting efficacy of a wet noodle.

2. CPU now has 'rocket' passing, very fast and accurate pass speeds despite the fact that I've got the sliders minimized for both human and CPU. Really frustrating.

3. To tack on what Lanky said, the CPU now does try to set up better in the offensive zone. I wouldn't mind so much if they had worked the human defense to respond accordingly, but now I find, in very much the vain of NHL 08/09, that I'm complaining about 'impossible' CPU goals where the AI knows where the puck will be two or three moves in advance. I didn't feel like that was in the more recent iterations, but it seems to be back in full force now.

4. Overall game speed feels a notch faster. I set game speed to 0 and acceleration very low as well, and felt almost like I was playing on default speed after the patch and tuner.

5...and the biggest complaint
...the patch brought back the framerate issues (PS3) that I hadn't seen in awhile. Had to restart the game to get the choppiness to go away, and it seems ubiquitous as opposed to before where it would be somewhat random.
