lol @ Al Bundy! seriously tho both guys are great players. I recently read an article where ESPN actually debated who was better between Lebron and KD. I dont know if you meant it like that but to act like you cant even compare the two or KD doesnt belong in the convo with Lebron?? Na b Durant is a top five player and only 23! I agree Lebron is better all around but with Durant still improving....hes right there nippin at Lebron heels. I didnt even bring up the 4th quarter issues lol

Its funny how everyone is putting KD over Lebron but when has KD been a defensive threat. Yes, he is long and can stop jump shots but Bron can stop any shot and has proven it. He has gone head up with some of the best competition and has beaten them with the Cavs and the Heat. Yes, KD has deeper range than Lebron but KD isn't an all around better player than Lebron. KD has faced the Lakers & Mavs and can't get over the hump with those two yet. The only team that can stop the Heat is the Heat.....

And before you say well the Heat have two superstars and a solid starter in Bosh...well so does the Thunder with a deeper bench.

Lebron over KD any and everyday...

Ok...lets compare the two...for Lebron's first 7 seasons he was on a team that (obviously) would have been a bottom feeder/lottery winner every year without him. He took the Cavs further than the Cavs could go with MJ himself on the court. Basically torched the Pistons in two playoff series in a row w/ on giving them a shot at the title. Two time MVP, multiple all star appearances, and probably one of the toughest players to guard one on one (with the exception of Paul Pierce(who takes a huge hit in the scoring department everytime he is matched up with Lebron)) He was the CLEAR leader of his team and had half the talent on those rosters than KD.

While I can admit KD is good Top 5 is a push because he isn't...ESPN Top Rankings is not a good comparison to the BEST players in the league. KD is a Top ten talent but much like Melo is only a true scoring machine. Sorry.....LBJ is miles ahead of KD...that is not saying KD will never be considered the best player in the future. And his stock will only take a hit if he can't at least get the Thunder in the Finals.

For those of you starting this debate about Durant and LeBron need to realize we are talking about the video game. This is not a discussion about who is actually better in real life.

I'm just going to quote this because maybe if it's here twice people will see it. Selective literacy on the internet is a pandemic.

Re: NBA 2K12: Top Five Players by Position

Are we going by most useful vidoegame wise?

In that case...

PG: Chris Paul. His 84 3pt rating makes all the difference in the world in deciding whether or not double teaming David West is a good idea...

HM: Derrick Rose. His 77 mid and 79 3pt makes him an inconsistent threat with his jumpshots. But get him a few easy layups and a couple of trips to the foul line? His jumper is straight cash.

SG: Kobe. His post game is ridiculous. Coupled with the fact that most Sg don't have the strength nor the post defense necessary to stop it? Makes Kobe the most complete SG in the game.

HM: Tyreke Evans. Don't laugh. A couple of OS'ers on here know just how dangerous Tyreke Evans is when going to the rim. Couple that with his insane crossover/isomotion ability and one of the quickest releases in the game making it nearly unblockable? Yeah. Tyreke is a problem.

SF: Carmelo Anthony. Bigger, Stronger Kobe with a better 3pt rating. He is simply unfair in this game.

HM: Rudy Gay. Don't laugh at this either. Dude is absolutely insane when going to the rack, and he catches on fire very very very quickly. Hit a couple of midrange jumpers, and I bet you at the end of the day he'll end up with 40+ points.

PF: Dirk. His post fadeaway is simply cheese

HM: Kevin Garnett. HIS post fadeaway is simply cheese

C: Dwight Howard. Simply unfair. Can't be guarded one on one. He will simply bully his way to within 3-5 feet and dunk it. Everytime. EVERY. TIME. Asssuming he establishes good post position first, but then...that's what the agressive backdown is for....

HM: DeMarcus Cousins. Mini Dwight. With a mid range game. His mid range is a 75. Simply unguardable if he's facing a scrub center. Expect him to get 20+ points.
