I ran into this issue before where i asked forum users here if they wanted my content to go to my site. then some posters here went to my site and uploaded the content here without my permission the way OS doesnt have the permission to have full articles thrown into the forums either...so if you want the support of the community of OS you have to post it here.

Precisely. I wouldn't want to drag OS into anything challenging legality because an OS user re-distributed copyright material now would I?

Plenty of stuff that isn't legal going on here, almost all of it has to do with rosters and the unlicensed games.

It is looking like the only thing that will be updated is another set of raw attribute updates. I was working with shagrugg on getting the OVR calculations down, but apparently they are too complicated to get perfectly at this point. That is mostly due to EA not releasing a spreadsheet with all attributes listed as they did for M11. I believe he started a topic but didn't get many responses for help. As a result, he was unable to calculate the OVR equations perfectly. He has the basic formulas, but it is unknown as to what % of error they present as opposed to the precise calculation.

The other thing missing is the inclusion of new scouting data. I have been unable to procure the new data for week 8 at this point due to several factors outside of my control. So as for now it looks like week 8 will simply be another raw attribute update. It won't change much yet.

Once the new scouting data is procured, I will do an update immediately. There is no timetable for this.

Once I am informed that the formulas for M12 OVR calculations have been figured out, I will then begin to update all of the OVR's as well. There is also no timetable for this part as well.

The issue is that the "formula" for calculating OVR is a bit of a myth. The formula of attribute values contributes to calculating a rawOVR value which varies by position. The value then falls within a range that correlates to an actual OVR value between 12-99.

In order to get OVR calculations to come out EXACTLY as the CAP screen you'll need to program the correlation table of RawOVR ranges to actual OVR values, which you'd need a full population or more of players in order to determine what specific OVR values the rawOVR ranges correlate to. Without that you'll always be stuck with values that could be off by 1 or 2 given the difference between the lowest and largest subtractor values (if using a subtractor). Even after examining a full population of player attributes I have a feeling this will still be the case.

Using a subtractor value is a good method for creating "close enough" OVR values, but it is not a good method for creating "exact" OVR values as can be found on the CAP screen. Dan's decision as to whether or not this is a show stopper for FBG. If it is... without help putting together the data and programming the correlation of rawOVR to actual OVR this process is going to take a long time.

In any case I'm posting the ratings here as I type them in from the game using EAs week 5 roster release.

Assistance getting the data plugged in would help move the process along to data analysis on my end, but thus far I've only had one person offer to assist and haven't heard anything back from him. It takes several hours to get all the complete ratings for one team entered... family and work commitments take priority, so this is something I can do in my "free time". That being said I've completed 3 teams worth of attribute data in nearly 3 weeks. Doing the math that puts me on course to complete collecting data 29 weeks from now. Then I can begin analyzing it, not sure how long that will take but it 3-4 weeks should be enough. If you can/would like to assist with entering the attribute data for a team please pm me.
