This would have been a great patch if this were September, but it's October now meaning this patch isn't really in our hands until practically November. I'm pretty much moving onto NBA 2K12 until Patch #3 or a tuner set gets released. At least by then I'll have a better idea of the 2012 draft class to import, but I wish I didn't waste so much time on this game trying to put lipstick on a pig.

Also, it's become very clear where the priorities are for this team. Madden Ultimate Team has consistently gotten more attention than Franchise mode after release and I'm sure that's part of the reason for disappointment among us hardcore Madden gamers.
I agree with most of this post. ESPECIALLY the part about MUT modes and On-line modes getting comparitively massive amounts of attention over Off-Line Franchise mode. (over the last few years)

The only point I think its fare to make for EA is that the patch will likely be out in 1-2 weeks, so we wont be waiting untill November.... We'll likely have it before October is up.

Also, this might not be the last patch.

But at this point I dont hold much hope for things like A potential guys getting cut for UDFA's... or patching options other than the 20-second accelerate clock in Franchise mode.... or fixing the comically massive shoulder pads... they either dont see it as an issue or are unable to figoure how to fix it. That's a shame.

Re: Madden 12 Patch Details Released

Thank you Madden team for addressing some of the concerns of the community; I am particularly excited to see that custom playbooks, franchise-mode weather, and player editing are being fixed.

In the next patch and/or tuner update, would it be possible to do something about the deep-ball AI's ability to make a play on the ball? Often times, the defensive back attempts to swat the ball away, but an animation that takes them out of position triggers instead of something more appropriate. I imagine this may go unnoticed to many, but as a 'coach mode' gamer, it is a glaring issue.

Also, when playing in 'Coach Mode', quarterbacks playing for the human-coached team do not scramble.

I completed an entire season with T.Pryor as my starting quarterback and he never broke the pocket. This takes away from the competitive advantage of having an athletic QB if they never take advantage of their full skill-set while playing for human-controlled teams. Yet, when I play against T.Pryor (or any QB with a scrambling skill-set), the CPU controlled QB's scramble when appropriate; and with great success.

It would be nice if this could be addressed for human-coached QB's.

Thanks in advance.

I was hoping they would do something to give a boos to franchise scouting. It still irks me greatly how dubious the design choices were for that...

I'm disappointed that there's no fix (listed, anyway) for half sacks not being counted or for the missing accel clock option in franchise.

Re: Madden 12 Patch Details Released

I'm not happy at all with the weather that needed to be "fixed."

Weather was fine and realistic for every encounter in all of my Franchises that I started/tested out.

It being "fixed" means absolutely no rain or snow hardly will ever occur now.

I hope the people that were crying about true football weather are now happy with their crystal clear skies all over the NFL landscape all year 'round...because that's exactly how EA's gonna do it with this upcoming Patch.

Either play in a Dome, or buy the AFL Game so it can be 73-56 final score.

There are teams that have rain literally every game if you're playing them as your franchise team. Hopefully the fix means that was fixed, and not that there's less chance for non-bugged teams.

I hope that's the case as well, then. I enjoy playing down in Miami with the Tropical Storm heavy rain coming down, in NY, Cleveland, Buffalo, NE, NY, Philly, etc., etc., etc. having the true Weather...

It's part of football!!

Thanks for the response.
