NBA 2K12 Reviewer Gameplay Impressions

MrBasketball, looks like you dont like the game for any real gameplay reasons, but rather "edits" you can and cannot do. Sounds like you should get your money back. The game play is where it's at. How many forum posts are there on Madden/NCAA12 gameplay? Lots man, not many on how the uni's are off or editing options on players shoes are out of whack (dread soapboxes not withstanding).... I say enjoy the game man. But respect your opinion none the less.

I have to agree with Mr Basketball. 2K did mislead us with the legends thing. If they can't let us edit the teams or trade players could we at least get an explanation why? I have a feeling it has something to do with the retro game package. I also assumed we would have more options to edit players but we have less this year. I'm not complaining because I'm going to get rid of the game, I'm also hoping 2K takes notice to our complaints and fixes it. If that's even possible.

The only thing I'm mad about is that we cant use the legends in association!!! I was real excited to put Chris webber with tyreke and Demarcus cousin...please do something about this cause I would love to use the legends in something other than quick game

@ Big FN DEAL – don't be corny and try to insult*me online b/c i don't think you would be acting like that if i were in front of you...you don't have to agree with what i'm saying, but at least have respect for people's posts.........Besides, I don't think i said anything unreasonable. I think 2k makes a great basketball game. Graphics and gameplay have been improved this year (which is great) but 2K stressed the addition of the legends this year and the NBAs Greatest Mode... and yet you get the game and your very limited with what you can do with the legends. Im pretty certain many people were assuming they would be able to assign or trade legends like we were able to do last year.

For as long as I can remember, 2k has not allowed users to customize items, such as the length of player's shorts, or sock colors...WTF??? Does that piss anybody else off? I mean these players have shorts down to their ankles...It looks silly to me. The players’ uniforms should look like they actually fit the players. (5) Lastly, why would 2K remove the Jordan sneakers?! That was so cool (except for the problem with setting up the color ways, which stunk)…2k sports adds all these bullsh*t sneakers to replace the Air Jordans of last year (and by Air Jordans, I’m referring to the real Jordan sneakers, e.g., I-XVI…not the rest of the garbage sneakers they added). And 2K, when you do add sneakers to the game, do it right! To the people at 2k, its quality you want to focus on….not quantity (unless ofcourse you can do both). ***I’m sure these comments won't get me anywhere, but I am hoping that maybe 2K sports will actually read some of these comments and take some pointers. I’m just really annoyed with 2K sports right now. I hate to mention EA sports because their graphics and game play was cheesy in the past, but they sure did have some great ideas integrated in their games. ***2K sports should really consider creating a patch that would allow customization of rosters (both retro and current)…That’s the least they can do! In the meantime though, I will post this comment in as many threads as I can, and hopefully prevent consumers from being deceived by 2K sports. ***To 2K…Try being honest with the marketing of your products. If you want to remove something from your game, then give people fair notice, instead of having us purchase the game, and realizing this afterwards.

I agree to with Big FN Deal. im more piss off about the online play though. its seems like im out their playing arcade bball or something. Everybody in the damn game can shoot if you're using animated shots which aint cool at all.

I didn't intend to come across as some kind of internet tough guy and would actually say what I stated in front of you because I didn't mean it as an insult. To clarify the "energizer bunny" comment, I was referring to back in the day when it would come across the screen in the middle of a fake commercial, not that your post went on and on. It would be very hypocritical of me to attempt to insult anyone for expressing their opinion about a game on OS because I do it, probably too much.

I spend way more time in the Madden forum since NFL football is my first sports love and it just seemed surreal to read your post in relation to the way I see Madden. I couldn't help but think, if someone really felt that upset and motivated to make their first OS post over NBA2k12, which is a quality game, imo, I don't know what they would do if they play Madden.

the only thing i dont like is passing, when not using icon passing, the cpu chooses dumb passes for u.

also, when i get my center getting fronted by a pg. i pass it to him an pg steals it cuz there is no loft to the ball.

fix the passing loft an speed an im a happy camper
