The point is,and sorry to re-tell it.....if JoeBlow can find things in a matter of minutes/hours/few days of playing the retail version....and they are things that should have easily been found in testing..the consumer is going to begin asking why is the product like this?
It obviously makes a statement/impression.......but is this the statement/impression EA wants to make?

Using the elipses is something I use to break up the text and phrasing a little better so a person doesn't see an endless wall of rambling text,...I actually think it makes it easier to read, just like using a paragraph, but

Ellipses have a purpose, and this is not it. I've read many, many posts here that are clear and clutter free without misusing ellipses. On the other hand, seeing so many in a post is annoying.

It doesn't make it easier to read. It makes you seem like kind of a dumb hipster that is trying to be cool without a basic understanding of grammar rules.

Re: Hip Checks Hurting NHL 12's Realism

I have to say that while The hip Check has some uneven qualities, this MUST be a checks and balances situation as viewed by EA because the way the puck sticks to the offensive forward/Center's stick at times is absurd.
New physics be damned...I can t tell you how many times as a defender I have been in good position and went for the normal check and gotten a piece of the puck carrier with NO EFFECT at all. The guy just weaves around a couple of us even taking hits and gets to the goal mouth.
And NO its not my defense its the fact that the puck STICKS to the carriers tape. I get that some players can take a hit without losing the puck but what happens here too often is way overpowered offense. SO as a guy who plays alot of Defenseman in OTP etc, enjoy my hip check when I get pissed off that someone stickhandled through an entire team.
C'mon EA.

Re: Hip Checks Hurting NHL 12's Realism

It's not just hurting, it's killing the NHL 12 realism. It happens 5+ times a game where you can be PAST somebody and they throw a hip chick, then all of a sudden you flopping around like a fish out of water even though you weren't actually touched. If someone is standing still and someone comes flying out of no where with a hip check, the player standing there shouldn't get knocked to the ground.

Getting off-topic a little, another thing that's hurting the game play is I've seen offensive "playmakers" with 40-40 Aggressive/Body Checking take out huge defensive players (I'm talking like 5'10" taking out 6'6") whenever in the "demos" and "gameplay videos" it was shown that if that happens. the 5'10" player just dropped to the ground. I have a 5'10" right winger who lays people out like I'm 99-99-99-99 (AGG, BC, STR, BAL) whenever all of that is below 50 and I have a 90-90-85-85 who can't lay anyone out.

I feel like this is something the EA got backwards, kind of like how some of the Madden sliders seem to be "backwards".

We know a patch will come. Whiny posts like his only serve to alienate the devs from the people here.
.
So no one should be allowed to discuss issues in video games in a VIDEO GAME FORUM? SMDH and it seems to me that you are whining about a "whiny post" go figure.

Go back and read what I wrote. Then go back and read what I was responding to.

No one is saying that we should not talk about issues in video games. I am saying that if you do it by acting like a jerk, you lose the support of the people you are trying to reach.

Re: Hip Checks Hurting NHL 12's Realism

seems like the hip checks still work along the boards if done correct.. at times they work else where, but had them work along the boards. maybe has to do with height and weight of the other player, not sure. it wasnt as bad as before though..
