I am sloowly (read very slowly) getting the hang of this new defending.

What I do is basically apply pressure so another player gets in and attempts to get the ball while I cover him.

And this is not effective. Can someone please give us tips on this new defending system? I am getting owned!

Oh and if you're playing that other awesome soccer game, go play something else then switch to Fifa. Switching directly will only lead to further punishment in the D!

RB+Shoot for me is finesse shot. I was unaware of a driven shot.

My mistake. That's what I meant. Clearly, I shouldn't post before cup of coffee #2.

Yes, the finesse shot seems almost too effective.

This would be a bummer as at times last year it felt that it was.

I does feel a little overpowered as you can get on target pretty easy with this shot from almost anywhere in the range of the goal.

At least for 1v1, I'm hoping that the ability to manually control the GK will allow those shots to be saved.

Which is why I never, and I mean never, use the finesse shot.

Have a gay old time playing the demo, btw. Downloaded the patch that allows for longer halves and man, I really like this game. First day purchase for me, even though I've been looking more forward to the arrival of the other game.
