B.S. 2k cam is closer to real life for me because it's behind your player, so it's more like you're seeing the floor from your player's position. when you play real basketball, do you view everything from the sideline like from a broadcast cam? no.

I'm sure it will be different with the full game. Control-wise I see the advantages of 2k12 easily... but 2k11 still has the depth that this demo never can in terms of strategy.

It's an unfair comparison but you and I seem to share the same sentiments.
Exactly...not being able to run plays, to me it feels like I'm just freestyling out there, which I don't like. Also I definitely do not like the broadcast cam at all anymore. 2K cam all the way.

But yeah I'm not doubting that 2K12 will be great, and I'll probably find 2K11 a lot harder to play after the full game comes out. But for now the demo is what it is... 4 mins or so w/ 2K12 isn't enough for me to give up on all the memories I still have w/ 2K11 lol.

guys, about the "push-the-tempo" animation, where the ballhandler pushes the ball infront and is able to run even quicker: you just press and hold the turbo button in the backcourt (like you would, when using turbo normaly)? Does this mean that you can't use this in the frontcourt? like on a breakaway to avoid the D to catch up ?

Also it's nice that they got rid of the wierd walk animation, BUT the new one is not much better, from what I see from the videos! It's really akward... ballhandler doesn't lift his legs from the ground and is kinda tense and robotic..... imo...

These demos aren't for us anyway. We are already for sure customers.

Plus 2K demos have always been like this so I'm not sure why some are surprised.

To wet our appetites, get all these people to download it, and to make us want the retail version even more--that's pretty much the purpose. Watered down or not, 2K will succeed in all of those things.

speaking of 'watered down', ps3 version of a demo will likely be watered down graphically again n this game. i bet there gonna be no cameramen on the sidelines on the ps3 version again lol

You can't call plays, but your AI teammates seem smarter, and passing looks to have improved. On the defensive side, whereas in 2K11 the CPU would sometimes ignore switch attempts, leading to someone being left wide open for a shot or dunk, switching on D appears to work fine all the time now. Of course, I'd need the retail version to find out for sure.

I do understand what people are saying, though. The demo starts to get a little too shallow after a while, since you can't even call for screens.
