Someone mentioned they would video a game against Barca and someone else said they saw 2 long range shots.

I await those videos.

Were the shots from midfielders or defenders? Maybe, I should give the game more time if they were from positions other than a striker

I agree 100%, but what Im saying is that demos are limited. We are playing THREE minutes. At least in the PES demo, you can get into the gameplay a bit more. But how are people critiquing certain things based off of 3 minutes of gameplay.. that is beyond me.

I put out a Marseille reserves team against Barcelona who I then chose to control, and I had the worst first half possession out of all the games I've played.

I know it's only a couple of games but it yet again seems that the quality of players doesn't make a heck of a lot of difference to how the computer plays. Like I say though, the full game is where we can make better judgements

Outside shots by Iniesta and Xavi are abundant.

On Lever, Kasawa or whatever his name is, has scored 2 fantastic goals from outside the box.

Lucho Gonzalez scored a beautiful curled in shot from the left wing. It's out there. If you play a game, instead of leaving to change teams, just hit restart.. more game time with similar players and it will definitely open your eyes.

Okay guys, I just installed a demo expander off of Sweetpatch. It gave me 10 minutes halves and, wait for it... , let me play in the snow! It was Man City (me) against Bor. Dortmund. I won 1-0. Lots of exchange of possesion. They played a very conservative attack, heavy on defending and playing a deep defensive line, which was encouraging. I can't tell you guys what a beautiful game this is on PC. My bottom end i7 is smooth as silk. (1080p, 2xAA, High Detail) I don't think I've ever played a better looking videogame, detail-wise. Had to get out the Zi-8 and shoot Wayne Rooney in the arena, afterwards. These player models are just incredible, facially. Wayne Rooney is a bit too slight, IMO. I'm definitely getting this on PC......

My issue is that I'm an adult with a job and kids and my play time is limited so when I set aside time for a game, I really prefer to get as close to real as possible.

PES has issues that drive me crazy and its not perfect. But, I know what I'm up against based on the team I'm about to play. Spain, Germany, and the US all play differently. Chances are that those differences will be felt by me (the user) more with PES than FIFA.

If I played you on FIFA I would most likely love the game because you would likely use your team's strengths to the fullest. But, I fear thats not the case if I oppose the CPU. If you used England, I'm almost certain you'd be testing my keeper from distance with those great shooting midfielders. But, FIFA doesn't do that.

Only 1 guy (based on his posts I'm guessing he's a child) defends FIFA as tactically sound. And, he has not detailed how. Enough said about him.

As of the writing of this post, not a single person has stated that they have experienced the CPU midfielders attempting a shot.

I don't want to insult the guys who love FIFA. I asked three simple questions early on and none of the answers were positive.

I just opposed Inter in PES and Sniejder hit a screamer from outside the box that terrified me, even though it was deflected. Thats the stuff I'm looking for.
Thanks. BTW, I'm 45 with a 6 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. I feel your pain. I only buy games now that I know I'm going to play a lot. Time is precious. I did just find a patch for the 2nd PES demo that gives you 72 teams to play with. Gonna give that a spin. I'm gonna to make sure that both games really float my boat, but I can see myself getting, and loving both, for their individual strengths. These two, and NBA2k12, and I'll probably call it a year.....

No one needs to show you anything. And please stop with the insults.

As for the rest, it's not ****ing rocket science. This is a FIFA impressions thread; it is for impressions of the FIFA12 demo. I was rather clear where I stand on comparisons. This thread is not the place.
