I'm talking about teams here and you can also have Magic, Kareem or Bird in those discussions, I'm not even getting into all that... and you got Jordan, a player, in best teams discussion?

as for the rest of your post I just laugh and I not gonna bother to answer because it didn't make no sense to me...

the Celtics and the Lakers won multiples, same for the Pistons, the Sixers dominated and still contended while they could... they dominated and conteded, they had a great team all-around, in a era full of great teams
they didn't even win a title, they didn't dominate, they couldn't compare to the best 80's teams, only the Bulls can, they were really good but not all time good, add that to the bunch of bad teams the 90's had

I'm not saying there was no competition in the 90's, you got plenty of really good teams but you also had, due to the expansion mostly, a lot of bad teams, really a lot... in the 80's you got all those top teams all-time and also other really good teams all around, including some that would become among the best in the 90's
There were more bad teams in the 80's than in the 90's. The east was tougher in the 80's too by a wide margin. I love the showtime lakers and I don't think the 96 bulls can beat that team. But the celtics and the lakers owned the 80's and there were plenty of horrible teams in the 80's. There may not have been as many All-Time Great teams in the 90's, however the 90's, especially the early 90's was more balanced and was far from watered down.

2001 to 2008 was watered down also IMO. The league is now at a place were there are more strong teams and players.

I'm not even going to enter this discussion again because I've already said the Bulls in the 80's wouldn't amount to the same thing and the '87 Lakers and '86 Celtics could've beat them, but I gotta say this post made me laugh. I also got to agree that the 80's had far better teams, that's as far as my argument goes right now though, I debated this in the '86 Celtics thread the other day.

Not at all, the 90's had far worser teams and the East in the 80's was where the NBA had the greater amount of competition, what you said is just wrong.

Wait a minute, I though you said the 80's had worser teams than the 90's and the East was much tougher in the 90's, if that wasn't it, I'm sorry.

You had 3-4 great teams in the 80's plain and simple, the 90's was more balanced and more teams had a chance to win a championship, 3-4 dominate teams does not make a better NBA

if that was it, that's straight up ignorance... saying that the 80's had worser teams is already ignorant though lmao
