Better overall team I can agree with that, being able to beat the 96 Bulls not so much. The 96 Bulls won 72 games because their team chemistry was off the charts everyone knew their role, they also had the Greatest to play the game a guy that refuse to lose that year. Michael was dominating the Celtics and Lakers as a rookie in the 80's it just took awhile for the Bulls to get him the help he needed to win a championship, I would take the 96 Bulls over any other team in the history of the NBA.

you can't help who you play of course but if you play weaker teams you got a better chance of winning, 96 Bulls in the 80's don't win 72 games period... compare the 80's teams against the 90's teams
you got some really good teams in the 90's but they don't compare to the 80's C's, showtime Lakers, fo-fo-fo Sixers, badboys Pistons, 80's Bucks... and also taking in account that some major 90's teams were already formed or almost formed in the 80's

lmao, quit acting like their team chemistry was better than the 86 C's or showtime Lakers... they won 72 games because the league had some really good teams but many more terrible ones with the expansion and all, and because they had an amazing team with MJ and also Pippen, a top player in his own right
oh and I'm sorry for forgetting that 96 was the only year Jordan refused to lose

BadBoy Piston existed in the 90's, then you had the Jazz, The Knicks, The Sonics, The Suns, The Rockets, The Spurs,The Pacers so don't give me that there was no competition in the 90's or that the 80's were superior to the 90's BS.

Also, with the 95 Hakeem Rockets he averaged 33 ppg in the playoffs and had multiple 40 point games (5) in their title run that year and scored over 35 (5) times, as well as 30 or more (6) times. Thats 16 games over 30ppg out of 22 total games in the playoffs.

IMO the best center to ever play the game and this was one of the best individual playoff performances ever. He was absolutely DOMINATING that year in the playoffs! Even more impressive is he did it all going up against Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, and Shaquille Oneal who are all Hall of Famers!




I agree! I always thought that as well. I don't think the Bulls could have dealt with Hakeem. Every team the Bulls ever played in the Finals never had a dominate center they had to go against. Vlade, K. Duckworth, M. West, Ervin Johnson, and G Ostertag? LOL! They would have had there hands full with "The Dream"![qoute]


To me the Bulls played Bad Teams in the Finals.(Match up in the finals Favored the Bulls heavely.)

To me, I still haven't seen a great all-time basketball team Yet.(I seen alot of great players-MJ,Magic,Bird,The dream........)(Running to Bomb shelter)
