That's understandable. I'm not a football guru by any means, but I do know the game a bit. While there are things that I am disappointed with about the game, I try to keep in mind that it is a video game. EA can absolutely do a better job representing the sport, but I recognize the game for what it is and enjoy it the best I can.

Again, I've been fortunate that I haven't run into the truly game-breaking issues that others have, but as for the gameplay I've grown to accept EA's engine is what it is. I'm hoping the patch fixes everything, without messing up too much else, and I can play this game into next summer. As of now, I'm not planning on getting '13 unless they completely blow me away. And even then, I'm going to wait at least a month to see if it truly works right.

yeah, currently both have upwards of 80 used copies, my friend said they've actually had more traded in than they sold brand new.

I have a local store I trade my games too. They give you more credit for games.

I'm truly curious as to what the mindset of someone like yourself is, and why you bought the game if you see so many problems with it that have been in the game for years.
+1. Stuff like lightening quick reflexes and reactions from LBs has been in the game for years. Can't think of how many times I've had a ball swatted down by someone I didn't factor in AT ALL. It happens. And throwing a ball around the middle of the field has always been a 'hold your breath' scenario because of frequent interceptions.

Sucks for all of you online dynasty guys, but I'm not one of them. So while I haven't played the game yet, I don't see any reason not to buy it - the core game play isn't broken, it's just unchanged. I've never REALLY had an issue with it other than a mild annoyance at times. It's not EVERY pass play by any means. Option blocking was dicey in '11, too. Good luck trying to run it! Regular run blocking is sufficient, though.

The game will NEVER be perfect for the "simple" reason that it's a video game. They can't program the players to "think" - they can 'only' program a combination of scenarios. Sometimes, unrealistic things happen as a result of a predetermined outcome, but it's just the nature of a video game. They can't program anything truly random.

Your best bet for as close to a simulation as possible is to go outside and play. Sign up for a flag football league or something, I don't know.

Do you think EA is embarrassed at all by this game, or are they too busy high-fiving? My guess is high-fiving, since it did bring in a ton of money despite critical reviews.

If NCAA 2012 was a movie, it'd be Transformers. And Haumiller would be played by Shia Labeouf.

A more understated fist bump is my guess.

The irony is that many of us are waiting on this patch so the game can be Transformed! LOL
