I don't see what's so hard for you to understand either. Check... Overall... Sales. Not the first week. The game has been out for months now. It'll finish about the same, if not more poorly than previous versions.

Feel free to link us to these overall sales that you seem to think are readily available. Even vgchartz has sales up ~10% vs NCAA 11 on the HD consoles... which corroborates EA's statement.

You tell us to check facts and then try and convince us the game will do worse than the previous iteration without presenting any. Good luck with that.

And that's comparing 8 week totals for NCAA 12 to 10 week totals for NCAA 11. NCAA 12 has better sales week to week in almost every week for both next gen consoles.

I still wish that patch was out, though.

IMHO, this viewpoint is part of the problem. Not trying to flame you, but the whole "Everybody else just doesnt know any better, they're just a bunch of dumb kids" attitude is what's leading EA to put out a sub-par product...There are people out there that arent active on message boards but can still spot a glitchy game from a mile away....The majority of people playing this aren't "arcade style" players.....again just my opinion...

Well, from reading the publicly available financial and investor information on their website:

http://investor.ea.com/results.cfm

It is clear that the game is selling somewhat better than prior years (although this is of course no indication of quality) and part of the reason for this is because due to fear of an NFL lockout EA decided to "double down" on its marketing efforts for NCAA. This is all in the documents for Q1 of their fiscal 2012 if any of you actually bother to speand 10 minutes reading.

That explains why they paid for a 4 hour infomercial on ESPN and the huge number of commercials for NCAA you saw this year. More marketing is going to result in more sales in most instances.

Either way, again, none of this is any indication of the product's quality especially when games cannot be returned to most retailers.

I would probably estimate that sales for NCAA 13 are likely to be down from this year as NFL labor peace is likely to mean that EA will not do such a large media blitz for NCAA next year. Coupled with the disappointing effort for 12, of course.
