I've always been under the impression that stats were a representative of how that player is performing at the current level, but that can't be, because if we go by actual stats, Mark Sanchez's 54% completion %, and lifetime QB rating, up to this point, is lower than Tim Couch.... and well, since the Jets carried him the previous two seasons, he can't suck THAT bad, right?

But since you use REAL NFL scouting data, if possible, can you link me to the scouting data that informed you that Greg McElroy has the arm strength to warrant a 89 throw power rating... and T.J Yates got a whopping 90 throw power rating (1 below Jake Locker..) The biggest knock on both guys, was their below average arm strength. But I'm glad they won't be having that issue in Madden 12. I just wish you were around doing ratings when my boy Ken Dorsey got drafted, I could have used that 90 throw power rating in that years Madden.

Good luck.

Yup. They re-did the calculations this year. If they hadn't, I would have had all this done by now.

I cannot link you to that data as it is not available online. I get all my source material from PRIMARY sources, not secondary sources.

Scouting data, campus times, in game 40s, etc.

Re: FBGRatings Seeks to Recalibrate Madden Ratings, Change Game

Upon renting the game I have found that not only did EA change the calculations for calculating the OVR ratings, but they also changed the attribute scale from 12 to 99 to 0 to 99. That means that FBG will have to re-calibrate all of the hard data, scouting data, etc. In essence, FBG will be shut down for Madden 12. All of the data points for every single attribute will have to be redone and re-calculated. Just when you think you have everything down, EA defies logic and changes things up on me. Not cool. Sorry to those who have been following the site, but there is nothing I can do at this point. Look for FBG ratings to be back in 2013.

Please don't take down the site or the ratings. I still find the individual ratings to be extremely useful.
