I wouldn't say there's a huge drastic difference having tried both. But the CPU does seem to forecheck harder on SS. Granted it takes the score into consideration as well.

I'd still like to see better pressure in the neutral zone on the whole but it is better than it was in 11 by far.

See if they just made gaining the offensive zone even a little bit harder this game would be much better. It would actually make me have to pick and choose when I can skate in the zone and when I have to dump and chase. As it stands now you basically never have to dump the puck in because of the lack of pressure. You pretty much dump and chase for the sole purpose of you wanting to, which is what I don't like about it. I just want to be forced to change my style of play throughout the game.

Liking the feel of the demo.
I like the weight of the puck when I shoot a wrister.
The checking is much better.
I like when someone loses their helmet or the net comes off the moorings, doesn't seem to be too often and that's the key.
Seems very much like NHL 11.5 and if you don't play nhl much you probably could play 11 and be happy.
With that said the small changes they have made make it feel more sim and after the retail version comes out I don't think I could go back to 11.

Absolutely hate the menu background and the lightning effect or whatever you call it, very distracting and annoying.
On replays it doesn't make sense to have sound since no real life replays do that.

Agreed. I don't really like it either.

I'm hoping they include an option to disable the sound completely in replays.

It was said by two of the guys who went to the NHL community event. They got to test the game a few months back. They both reported that suspensions are in.
