The site is recent. However, if you would read the FBGratings thread, you would understand that the ratings are stretched. 90s are much more elite. Sitton, you can see, is the best rated OL on the team. The ratings system has gotten some rave reviews. It was the feature of an OS radio program earlier this year. Players are rated very differently, but I know of many that have preferred it. I suggest you check it out and understand how players are rated before rushing to judgement :

You have Brandon Underwood and Jarrett Bush rated higher than Shields. It says all I need to know about your site.

86 speed is very fast. Faster than pretty much any tight end in the league should be running. IMO 85 and up is 4.5 and under. In other words, there shouldn't be that many guys outside of running backs, WR's, and DB's that are above an 86 in speed.

The ratings just aren't very good in this game. Poor job for many years in this department from the team at EA.

If you would read the thread, you would understand that injuries play a part in the OVR rating. These ratings are from the end of last season when Shields suffered a shoulder sprain in the Super Bowl.

Please READ the thread before making me reiterate information in this thread. Or at least, bring it up in the FBGratings thread please. Let's stay on topic here regarding EAs ratings of the Packers and Vikings.

Agreed. I have gotten rid of the over-inflation, for this very same fact, in the FBG system.

Then your system is terrible if Shields is a 69 because he sprained his shoulder in the Super Bowl. Just calling a spade a spade.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings - Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings

I'll admit that I always used to play NBA games and thought man these guys are rated horribly, but then you'd see that guys rated in the 60's could contribute and there was a clear difference between the stars in the league and the role-players. This doesn't exist in Madden because every team has 10 guys in the mid to high 80's and that should be an elite player at their position, not the norm for a starter in the league.

Well, J-Mike's catch is underrated and his speed is overrated. Can we agree on that?
