This crossed my mind, but it seems doubtful at this point. Have the nine legends, but include them on some of the different teams they played on throughout their careers with unlicensed, fully editable players filling out the roster. We get legends and classic teams... but roster sharing is a must for it to be what it could.

Sorry guys, but this is something my 11 year old would enjoy...not me. Unless you allow fully edited rosters AND roster sharing, this is a worthless addition. Last post on this...

i'll buy this game on launch without a doubt. i do every year, this and the show are the only games i purchase new yearly. others i buy used due to the fact i have two kids to feed.... that being said, i look forward to this years title.

yeah i admit being a bit underwhelmed at this big announcement but i'm sure i'll enjoy this game as i have all the previous installments.

My biggest question is how will they truly stand out in the game like they did in real life? And how will this translate into the game ratings/attributes? Will Gretzky be rated lower because "he played in a different era"? Unless they find a way to really make these players stand out (a problem that has plagued this series on next gen since day one) we are basically getting a few CAPs with more accurate faces.

Excellent questions, Plaid.

In the case of say adding Gretzky into your GM mode, I wonder if the Legends ages will be editable.

It'll be interesting to see how all this stuff will be incorporated.

I don't know how many of you have played NBA 2K11, but I have played it to death. GREAT game!

Though Jordan was the focal point, we were given MANY teams covering multiple years. The starting 5 of each those teams were provided, and with some very creative people here at OS, we were able to add the missing bench players for ALL of those teams. We ALSO have MULTIPLE season's worth of COMPLETE / ACCURATE rosters - I personally created around 8 of them. With DNA / CAP sharing and roster sharing, it made 2K11 one of the greatest sports titles I've ever played in my life (and the gameplay, though with a few holes, is VERY, VERY good!).

EA just doesn't get this, which is why this idea, though a decent one, lacks any value to it because they will not provide us with the same concept 2K did in implementing this idea...

You guys should check the other thread about this floating around.

It's NOT like NBA 2k11 with challanges, it's actually just be a pro with legends, that's it.

And more 11-year-olds are buying the game than folks at OS.

I see the legends as something only interesting in terms of HUT. I doubt I will ever use them in any other mode.

But then, I think OTP is a stupid and annoying for a variety of reasons. And there has not been a GM mode for any sports game that is competent enough to be compelling to play (unless you consider controlling every team, which is just dumb). Because it was not designed for me, I guess I should complain that EA just doesn't get it.

It's not a terrible marketing ploy, but it also doesn't seem like they took much time at implementing it anyway.
