Playing right now. I am not a nitpicker any year, but there are a few things that bother me:

1. The controls need to be streamlined. I think everything is just a little to cumbersome for the pre-snap controls. Such as, scrolling through the "quick audibles" instead of using the right stick. (You can actually use the right stick for quick audibles, but you have to press x twice). Also even if you pick the Madden '10 pre-snap controls the slide protection is still not initiated by pressing LT. Annoying.

2. I also HATE how the playcalling menu always defaults back to the top. To where if you are wanting to run "Packer Trips" you have to scroll down after every down. Just annoying.

3. Also you can't skip through the walk-up cutscene while the user is on defense. It goes to your defensive hot route.

4. Also some may like it, but I hate how it defaults to special teams on 4th down. NCAA has it right where you can press Y to get to special teams.

One more thing I may be getting old, but is anyone else having a hard time seeing the play art on the field for passing routes?

Other than those little annoyances I love it.

All-Madden once again is about making the computer players super heroes instead of using attributes to represent each player.

Jay Cutler broke 2 tackles, and burned Nick Collins for a 60 yard TD (rushing)

He also lowed his shoulder down field on Clay Matthews and trucked him, and kept running.

The dropped passes in this game for users are still a shame, as well as the 1 second rush blocking system they use when they block until you get the ball then they let go no matter who it is.

J. Finley has about 8 drops a game for me as well.

Breaking tackles, missing blocks, and un-represented player attributes, Madden is terrible. You either beat down All-Pro or watch BS happen on All-Madden.

I think the gang tackling(Protak) is a thing of the past.
There's a reason for it, I just did a search on youtube for nfl gang tackles, the first and only video I found for it not related to a video game was in baltimore and it was a 3 man tackle, Ed Reed, then Ray Lewis and another LB to finish it off.

Well, excuse me for trying to make a football relevant analogy LOL. It's true, EA committed more resources to their presentation this year than what 2K probably did with previous football titles, but I still can't see how Madden's end result is better than what 2K5 did with Chris Berman and the highlight shows. There literally hasn't been a sports game since, let alone football or subsequent games by 2K, that has been able to replicate that, and this is going on 7 years now.

I'll admit, the team intros and broadcast elements looked good initially, but I've honestly seen too many gameplay videos already to the point where those elements are already old to me. The best presentation in the world won't save stale gameplay in the long run, but that's just my opinion. I'll discontinue this debate on my end as I don't want either of us to catch any infractions for comparison debates.

i noticed when playing with the packers, if you start killing the bears where there is no chance for comeback, as the quarters go on, i noticed the crowd getting smaller and seeing a lot more empty seats...cool to see dynamic crowds

Re: Madden NFL 12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360)

ok so two games played one on slow, one on normal. 35 speed threshold, on pro for both. I beat the bears 21-3 and ruined cutler's day, 4 sacks 2 ints, 40% completions. Then as the bears I won 24-0. cutler had a very solid game completing two deep balls one to knox one to hester for long tds. I went over 100 with grant and forte.

I loved the demo except that at least on pro, user defense was waaaaay too good. too many sacks, 5 against the bears 4 against the pack. I held both offenses under 100 total yards. Against the bears I thought it was due to cutler's DPP.

So perhaps a bump up in difficulty would give the offenses some better ability. I think a slider adjustment in pass protection is going to be in order for the release.

Dld it on PS3, in the 2nd quarter now. Annnnd just had Cutler throw a long bomb on me, did an all out blitz and I paid for it. Really am enjoying this compared to Madden 11. Seeing new tackle animations, defense feels much improved.

They really improved the catching in this years game. Two examples that I took on my camera. Sorry for the chatter, but I was talking to my friends in a party about the demo.
