Big Madden fan here and I must say that no doubt it's better then 2011.. I applaud them for that but... I think it's still behind NCAA in the gameplay department. It saddens me because i am a huge NFL guy but I may skip it and just play NCAA. I play online only so i am not worried about dynasty modes or how games against the cpu play. Does no one think that NCAA plays better?? It is so much more realistic and just feels right.. I find the gameplay of Madden 12 way to fast and chaotic and it still does not resemble football.. I still need to play more games.. i could be wrong but after 2 games I was not really into it... It is a whole lot better then the worst Madden of all time though which is madden 11

I don't like how there's no commentary.
So far it's pretty good
Glad they finally got the green sticker on qbs helmets

Use sliders. Choose a slower game speed. Right now, I'm much happier with Madden 12 than I am NCAA 12.

Already been stated why there's no commentary. It's in order to get presentation elements in the game and keep the demo size down.

I feel this demo is superior to NCAAF retail, im actually feeling a little weight to the players, especially on tackles. Sounds of the hits are great. It feels like the glory of last gen but a little twist to it. The zig zagging in NCAA is not here. Presentation is the best ive seen in any football title, crowd is amazing, Madden team got it right this year.

First game impressions (All-Pro, out of the box sliders):

Overviews of stadium look amazing. Can't see myself consistently skipping past it. Also, the unique camera shots are amazing.

Kicking meter will take some time getting used to haha. It adds a degree of difficulty and hopefully stops FGs from being automatic.

Just saw Aaron Rodgers overthrow a receiver on a Go route.

Yes, the QB strafing is WAYYY too fast. However, it seems like it's countered by the fact that everyone seems to accelerate very fast.

Lighting looks great, and the colors do as well.

Something AMAZINGLY REALISTIC I noticed. I scored a TD on a pass to Greg Olsen. Not only did the crowd explode when it happened, but the "camera" started to vibrate in reaction to the stadium noise. It looked cool and very realistic.

Also, super LBs seem to be out. Said TD play was an in route, right over Nick Barnett's head. Directed the pass high.

I think the user running game may need to be tuned. First three carries with Matt Forte went for 10+ yards. Granted, I managed to get outside on two of them, but still it felt easy considering the Bears line isn't great, or even really good.

Replays look very nice, but WAYYY too short. Although, they will show it from multiple camera angles while picking the play, but still.

Slip Screens can't be abused. Players with good play recognition will read it and make a play if in position.

The ball is smaller lol. You can tell because it doesn't fit in the player's hand, it just kind of "floats" in that space. The bigger ball fit in the hand, haha.

Blitzing too much will get you burned in the passing game, especially against teams like the Packers.

Your'e gonna hate it when LBs jump your routes realistically. We've been abused so long by the super LBs that everything intercepted over the middle seems like a super LB, but that's not the case.

Brian Urlacher is a clutch player. Nice to see that kick in when we need to get a stop.

I'm thinking the running for both sided may need tuning. Too many wide open holes, more on the CPU side, but still occurs for users (or at least me). Matt Forte finished with 11 carries for 77 yards, Ryan Grant had 11 carries for 65 yards and 2 TDs.

Also thought the NFL shield thing at the end was nice.

Overall the first game feels good. Haven't played Madden in almost a year, but I can tell it feels a lot, A LOT better than 11. I will say slow game speed is probably the way to go, as things happen way too fast on the normal setting.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360)

Clutch mode seems to be working. Woodson just turned into a beast in my game and basically took out every receiver on his side of the field in the last two minutes of the game.

However, something is definitely wrong about the deep zones as defensive backs are way too passive. I had the Packers complete a 60-something yard pass to Jordy Nelson, who was surrounded by two passive defenders. The receiver stood and awaited the pass, while my defenders waited even more patiently for him to catch it, so they could tackle him - this needs to be fixed as this issue was also in some of the videos that were released after e3.

The real question -- can you actually throw on this game as compared to NCAA?

Good pressure by the Dline, OL/DL interactions are fine ... Presentation is improved (stats in-game ect...) ... realistic zone d. Fluidity when you score a TD ... no more "weird moment" before the celebration. Super LBs seem off (just see them one time, but is fine)

Cons : Halftime Show ... really ? Replays are too short & lack of "authenticity" . A little bit of skating here and here.

Replays should be like that (1min28)
Agreed. I think the replay could show a impact player (Julius Peppers, for example) failing to get pressure, and the result of that, which in the video above, was Brady having time to find Welker over the middle. Or, showing a defensive player pressuring the QB into a bad throw, and then showing the result of that (either an overthrow or INT.)

Also, they scrapped the halftime show since they couldn't do it right.
