He isn't rated in the top 10 QBs.

Well it looks like I have a lot of rookie quarterbacks to edit.

Ponder didn't prove nothing in college.. IMO he was the one holding FSU back. I see no success for him in the league. He should be a 69.

Mallet should have a THP of about 97 or 98. I think he has just incredible upside as a passer, but he has to learn how to avoid the rush a little better in the pocket. He'll make some throws that no one else can make, but then sometimes he loses his touch on the short stuff. Once again though, his upside as a passer is unmatched in this class.

So many boom or bust type prospects in this year's class. Locker, Newton, Mallet, Gabbert, Kaepernick. Should be fun to watch.

So Mallett's arm strength rating will be higher then Flacco's correct?

He should be the highest rated for the game, if not it's a CRIME.

Cam- 65 F
Locker- 75 A
Gabbert- 72 B
Ponder- 71 A
Dalton- 70 B
Kapernick- 68 B
Mallet- 73 A
Stanzi- 65 C
Yates- 65 C
Mcelroy- 67 B
And this is why you're not an NFL talent evaluator. So Cam comes out more polished than Vick, Russell, and Young and you say "F" potential. I'm not saying he'll be a star etc. but he offers the most upside, whether he taps into it or not remains a completely different story. Though to say from jump street he won't seems pre-mature.

Another thing to consider is his natural athleticism, that plays a role (even if just accounting for a point or two). Not only does he have the arm strength, prototypical size, and ability to make all the throws; he can make bigger defenders miss, fight off the smaller ones and keep plays alive. No other QB drafted could have that said about him, so you have to account for that expanded skill set and it reflects in my belief via his overall. Basically compensating for lack of reps, experience, with his physical talents.

Also many will see I am a Panther fan, but even when I created him, I had him as a 74 ovr and felt that was fair. (See earlier post)

i made a Mallet CAP with an overall 69 and he was quite servicable. To the Cam haters...
