Re: Staff Roundtable: How Are We Feeling About NCAA Football 12 Now?

lol once again a BETA would have fixed top issues with the game. Buuuuut it IS EA we are talking about and we the consumers dont deserve it lol

The only defense I have for EA is, That maybe Im too knowledgeable about football in general. This IS a video game and theres nothing they can do to please everybody.

Buuuuuut at the same time it is Year 2011 and there making mistakes that a Monopoly shouldnt make. I HATE Black Opts, but it seems like every time I watch T.V or at my XBox dashboard I see these ' Resurgent Packs' with new maps etc. Why is this? Because they care about the consumer and try to keep things fresh. There smart enough to know that there NOT the only army game out there and if they slip up/get lazy ppl will go else where. Soooo not the case for EA. You dont like there product...Dont play football. With football what it is THEY WILL get what they set out to do. So until they have competition there more or less gonna sit-around just doing enough to get by. Sad but true. The truth hurts

I don't know that many beta's released on consoles. Not saying that isn't a good idea, but I can't think of many console games that have beta releases.

Honestly I dont even know of names of the ones Ive played, but I have played them.

Just so we all know: Beta version is for testing purpose, If any bugs occurs they will fix them during beta version.

I know army games have done this and ENCOURAGE people to find any bugs and glitches. You know map glitchs, make sure you cant morph into walls and such. Make sure the gameplay is smooth etc.

Ultimately thats what they want, For as many errors removed before the release OR at least to know what you need to be working on up to the point the game IS released.

I know people will sit around just to find glitchs in the system (nerds) and that WILL happen, I know that and not arguing that fact. But just look at this forum. Id say, for the sake of easy math, 95% of the ppl with NCAA 12 know there is inexcusable problems with it. They been making these games for HOW LONG now? ( idk and would honestly like to know) Just look at all the problems its absolutely pitiful.

You guys are Naive to think EA is going about things the right way.

Whole forum FULL of problems and complaints. Im not gonna say Everyone has a valid argument or point, but why does it seem like I'm the only one who thinks EA is gypping us. 10+ yrs in the bizz and this is the best they can do? Hate to be a stickler but this sh!t here just aint gonna cut it! :/ SMH

And I don't even know where to start with your comment about the sandwich having a piece of gristle in every other bite. I don't know about you, but one piece of gristle would ruin the sandwich for me. And this game is chok-ful of gristle.

"Remove the gristle and you've got a fantastic sandwich?'' Well, yeah. But how much gristle has EA removed? And do you really think they'll be able to remove a large portion of it?

I've noticed over the years that you seem to be overly effusive with your praise towards EA's football titles. EA thanks you.

But I'm not going to bend over and shout "Thank you, Sir. May I have another.''
I'm not going to argue with you over what is essentially a difference of opinion. As for what you call "overly effusive praise for EA" comment, that too is your opinion but my opinion is people like you have selective memories as to what you see on here. My cons list was list for this game was longer than my pros list when I reviewed this title. And i have not hesitated to hold EAs feet to the fire to fix glitches, such as the freezing issue, fixing injuries and online dynasty bugs. Maybe, go view my thread calljng EA out on not allowing commishes to edit other players In OD.

Bottom line, I'm sorry if I'm not more hateful, vile or angry towards EA to suit you. I'm sorry I don't gnash my teeth in enough agony and lament purchasing the game. I have already got about 65 to 70 hours of play out of this game, warts and all, and that's a lot of entertainment value in my book..

Silly food analogies aside I consider this a fantastic football title in dire need of a patch for the well known major issues. If that rubs you the wrong way then sorry I ruined your day but I call them like I see em.

I believe that people who get angry if others like the game do so because they are envious that others can enjoy the game and they can't coupled with their belief that if only everyone else was as miserable and angry toward EA as they are then EA would actually step up and dramatically make over the series ala Triple Play baseball and the NHL series.

All I know is it's by far the best football title I have played since Front Page Sports Football on the PC. And I've been playing video football games since I played Realsports Football on my Atari 2600 back in the day...

Easy guy, throwing out "whiners" and "complainers" is just as bad as others calling people "EA Apologists." You aren't helping the problem. This thread has helped keep many of the complaints contained in here.

Sorry the world doesn't revolve around your love of the game. Others have legitimate gripes with the game and they have the right to know why it's like that.

You can rag on us "whiners" and "complainers" all you want, but we are trying to build a better game, plus we want to know why promised features of the game do not work like promised (You know, like the feature set printed on the back of the box).

I'm happy you enjoy it, but just because YOU do doesn't mean everyone else has to. World doesn't work that way, guy.

You can point out issues with the game in a reasonable and intelligent manner though without simply being a whiny, angry and "I'm fed up" attitude is what I think his point was. Although it may not win you points with those here who hate EA and cause them to call you an EA apologist or whatever, the truth is that it will get you taken much more seriously with actually getting problems in the game fixed in the long run..
