I hate to say this, but i think you may be attributing a lot more to this roster glitch than is actually being caused by it. I rarely see the super LB and i see overthrows a lot too, and i have named rosters. This glitch can't possibly encompass all of the things you don't like about the game, for the most part it plays right, just with everybody not utilizing their strengths, i.e. scramblers trying to sit back and pass.

I never said I didn't like the game... These things werent happing until I went back to the out of box rosters..

Right on, not claiming you didn't like it. I just mean not every negative in the game is because of this. That statistic in the quote above? Definitely caused by this. Just hoping people don't get paranoid and think everything weird in the game is some kind of glitch, although that is the byproduct of a game so riddled with problems..

My thoughts, having silently followed this thread since last night:

With the tendencies not displaying correctly, there's a clear bug. The wonky stats themselves may or may not have something to do with it (someone mentioned placebo earlier, which I do see a ton of on the whole of OS), but the point is that the two could very well be related. And that should be enough for EA to take a good, hard look at this one (I believe Bumble mentioned earlier that they're already well aware of it).

As for the severity...I don't go throwing this word around casually, but I could see this one going in the gamekiller category IF the consumer cannot play this game without the named rosters. They are such a big part of the game for many people that I don't think it's a stretch to say that. There's a certain number of us that don't need the named rosters to enjoy the game though (myself included), and we're unaffected, of course. In short, YMMV on how serious the bug is, but I think we can all agree that it needs squashing soon.

I don't know if this has mentioned before, but I'll post my theory:

Ok, so someone said that maybe Dena...Michigan QB #16 ratings graded out as a balanced QB, but EA overrided it and made him a scrambler.

I THINK that the game is recognizing two different players packaged into one - I'll say a "fused" player. Think DBZ fusion.

For example, (And I could be incorrect, so someone should confirm) IF you create a player with ALL 99 ratings across the board, that player would grade out as a balanced player, depending on his position.

Maybe EA DID override QB #16/Denard Robinson's tendency because he had ratings that applied to both a scrambler and balanced QB, and possibly even a pocket passer.

This could be a problem for EA. If lawyers/whoever were to find out EA purposely made QB #16 a scrambler, then look at Michigan's Denard Robinson and bring up his rushing numbers, it could be used against them in a big way. Which brings up another theory - did EA PURPOSELY add this to safeguard themselves? Where they could say "But 'Denard Robinson' on HIS rosters is listed as a balanced QB, but IRL he's a scrambler; and in OUR default rosters, that's not Denard Robinson, that's just a random player. He doesn't even have dreads!" Seems backwards and not likely though, seeing as how they've said they'll fix it.

Here's to hoping it doesn't screw up gameplay, offline and online.

Also, it's looking like the guys will have to rename rosters, seeing as how the names will be tied to THEIR roster file. So it will load all the tendencies saved within that file. Expect another week-long wait for newly named rosters.

If that were the case EA would have never acknowledged this issue.

Also can't be true because in my dynasty, recruits are re-classified improperly when i edited jersey numbers.
