Nope, EA has fixed that issue, as per GHusyaman's over on IGN's board [went to the community event]

I mean...it's great that the sim engine seems much improved, more realistic number of injuries, better trade logic, etc.. But dang, if this and the Stat tracker is about it for the GM mode....yep, that's kinda disappointing.

I won't hold my breath, but hopefully GM blog #2 is coming soon!
See for me, if the trade logic, sim engine fixes, and CPU roster/line/Salary cap management works this year, really, I'm fine. Would I like more? Sure but I know its at most a 10 month cycle and I'm sure rebuilding the sim engine was no small task. It just won't mean much for GM players if the CPU still can't handle the salary cap and ends up making terrible line ups because of it.

Re: Be A GM Improvements Blog

Along those lines... I want to share some thoughts on the BAGM blog and community impressions regarding the sim engine. Last year at the community event, we were not prompted to explore the mode at all... I did so on my own during our general play time. The fact the reps were directed to do so this year leads me to believe it was more of a developmental focus.

Maybe there are more "big" announcements to come, but I suspect at least an overall tightening of the mode was a priority. Based on my experience, I can't see the team directing the guys to BAGM if it wasn't something they felt was significantly improved.

As I've said many times before, I don't know any inside info on NHL12, so this isn't meant as a tease. But I think I have some ground to stand on based on what I've seen/heard in the past year or two.

You make some great points RealmK.

No question that fixing many of the wth's within the GM mode will go along way for me to enjoy a mode even more, than I already do.

I guess I'm just hoping they'll add at some point, something that'll help your GM mode come more alive. For me...I'd like to see some type of team/league page. Where big match-ups, division races, trades, etc...were pictured. Something like Madden/Ncaa have had in the past.

Agree 100%. If the AI is still using pure TGH guys as top six forwards (NHL, AHL, or CHL), and some of the other weird happenings, it will just be a big let down.

I heard there are more injuries that is supposed to better resemble real life but, if the AI can't properly manage the injuries or doesn't have the tools (IRL LIRL) to do so, and this causes wacky results, what good is it?

Definitely. I don't know about you but going deep into BeaGM there always seem to be certain teams that present a problem (Blackhawks for me!) It would be good if you had a quick reminder of previous meetings, especially during play-off rounds... just for that added motivation.

So it sounds like no multiplayer Be a GM again? Back to NHL 2k8 I go. Unbelievable EA won't add this after so many years.

Re: Be A GM Improvements Blog

the blog and the game itself needs to deal more in player spread. At one point, the difference between the best team in the nhl and the worst was I think 5 points, it's grown to 7 or 8 now I believe, but that just doesn't make any sense.
