DiRT 3 Second Opinion

Bob Kollars wrote our review for Dirt 3 at the beginning of June. He found the game to be quite good, but a month later, Steve Bartlett is playing the game and wants to weigh in as well.

Since we always welcome more opinions, we figured we would let him chat a bit about his experience with the game and whether he feels as good about the title as Bob did last month.

I am very close to picking this up. I have a soft spot for rally racers. Funny thing is I know nothing about actual rally racing, just have always enjoyed them except for the devilishly hard Sega Rally EVO on the 360. I forever want to break that disk.

I have never played a game as good as the Dirt series at matching graphics, relative speed, vehicle speed, and responsiveness. That is, games like Gran Turismo that have top graphics and such, it seems like the cars move really slowly and are unresponsive. Others, like Split/Second, are too fast. Dirt is the perfect mix of speed and responsiveness, in addition to looking great.
