They just need to bring back swelling, cuts for CABs, and fix the issue with importing CABs in legacy. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the game. Stamina feels good, I don't suffer much at all playing an outside fighter. All the punches people are complaining about, like calling it a body war, can be countered if you know how to play, and seeing people pace themselves and attack the body early in the fight feels more realistic to me, no more wild flailing punches for 12 rounds, you will either get tired or get KO'd as it should be.

Let's see if I can describe this with words.

Stick n move=forward, back , forward, back consistently.
Running= back, back, back, back, with an occasional forward thrown in lol.

Get it? Lol
This is how I play it, and my opponent is almost always lower stamina than me, I don't see an issue. Even the king of stick n move, ALI, would have to rest once in awhile. If you think you should be able to dash in and out 500+ times in a fight and not get a little bit tired, you're asking to make the game less realistic.

I agree with respect to those not happy with the changes.

I'll qualify my opinion by saying I've fought mostly runners rather than the more skilled in and out fighters.

Finally got to play online. Now I can give a true assessment from my point of view. Stamina is crucial in this game. Took me about three fights to adjust to it. I noticed that the fighters are a bit slower too.I was afraid that when they said they where bringing back one punch K.O.'s it would be too Arcade like when the game first came out, but its not, it actually comes in realistically like how it should. Wasted punches are killer! Overall I believe EA took this game in the right direction. They took the Arcade style out and put the strategy in the game which is what boxing is mostly about.

If you liked to run and spam as your claim to fame then you probably will not enjoy this game any longer. If you liked more an arcade style of play then you will get frustrated very FAST! Because this game rewards "Boxer sim style players".

Sorry, that's not accurate.

Look at that and tell me when Ortiz is ever stationary. He's constantly moving and always on his feet. You look back at Mosley in his prime and you'll see even more movement, even more footwork, and constant in and out.

That's boxing. You have to be on your toes to box, and you have to move, almost constantly, to defend. This staying in the pocket and trading stuff is brawling.

I'm not knocking anyone, but I think there's some guys here that just want 'highlight-reel' boxing. A game that creates some good action and highlight material. Hence the clamor for one punch KO's, despite them being an extreme rarity at the upper level of boxing.

Finally got a chance to try this patch out...

While i don't like penalizing for disengaging i did not find it game breaking like some of made it out to be...You can box effectively from the outside as long as you stay away from the ropes...Movement is a little sluggish, but once again it is not game breaking...

I picked Ali and told my buddy to spam the hell out of me with Tyson...I was able to effectively stick and move when i kept him in the center of the ring...He did pin me on the ropes quite a few times but most his assault was avoided by side stepping and clinching...I knocked him out with a straight right in the 5th round...He was completely gassed...

The game is not perfect but they finally got stamina right imo...You have to now think before you throw a punch and be a little conservative...This is what we always wanted from a boxing sim, a risk and reward factor...

Good to know-the center of the ring might be key.
