See when we mod our PC games we are modding the core files of the game by extracting them and viewing them through other applications like Photoshop, GIMP, NIFSkope, etc... etc... Console users simple do not have access to those files, and it would be illegal and a breach of the TOS of said console to alter them anyway.


I'm not asking 2k to give us XBOX/PS3 users the ability to MOD, I don't care for that....I Just want them to visually (through the pics on that website) see what console users r asking for in this thread.

Yes, I could've just used real NBA images like some on here to show what we wanna see in 2K12 but I figured it'll be better to post the modding website becuz it has actual ''in-game images" of things were asking for...as in faces that look identical to there counter parts, authentic accessories, etc.

All in all, I posted the website link as an reference for images of what we wanna see in 2k12 "NOT" to plead a case for console users to be able to mod like the PC users.......

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

One thing that I'm sure has been mentioned several times is the lack of excitement from the commentary. Yeah, they start hooting and hollering when you do an alley-oop but it comes out of nowhere, I want to see some momentum. Case in point, which this old T-Mac clip:



Notice how they get more and more hyped at what's going on? The color guy stops even saying anything constructive and is simply in awe of T-Mac. That atmosphere following the three off the Gooden screen is exactly what I'd love to see. Commentators completely losing it, opposing team throwing the ball into the ground in frustration, gasps of annoyance from the crowd, teammates giving you props. When I drop 50 points, hearing Clark simply say "HE'S JUST TOO GOOD KEVIN" for the umpteenth time is hilariously unrealistic. In a real NBA game, a guy dropping 50 points is an event and the commentary should reflect that.

Another great example is Ben Gordon from the 09 playoffs featuring Kevin Harlan and Doug Collins:



In the latter half of the video you see Doug Collins at a complete loss for words at the shots Gordon is making.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that Clark Kellog is terrible.

Jerseys on players should be actually on their body and not floating...u can see tyhis when u look at their shoulders the jersey is just floating ontop of their shoulders

i never said anything about files of any sort.ive played basketball games on pc and i am fully aware of modding capabilities and what you can do.if u notice i said make it similar.i suggested doing this by adding more accessories to diversify the options we have to create better players.and allow us to edit things within edit player that arent normally available to edit except on cap.like hair,facial hair,things of that nature.just the same way they now allow us to edit players shots and adding custom colorways on shoes.i was just suggesting that they add more options like this to close the gap between console play and pc play.i know there will always be a gap with things the way they are,but i was just suggesting that they keep expanding on these types of things so that even if they dont get to work on all the players faces or all the shoes or whatever,we can do it to a certain extent with what we have available to us. if u download the 2kshare rosters people would create players over again that were already in the game just to get the faces right,but sometimes the hair would be off or something because they just had to use what was there.so once again.all that i was asking was that there be more options to do things like this so that we can make things as realistic as we can,we will find a way,just give us the avenue.

Guys - if you don't provide pictures, your specific requests won't be added to the first post.

The point of this is to make it as easy as possible to get these updates into the game. Pictures help provide that immensely.

Re: NBA 2K12 - Let's Talk About NBA Authenticity, Artistic Improvements

If we have a season and the NBA does what they did last year with two teams playing a couple of games in Europe during the regular season. The announcers should talk about that, and they should play in a neutral arena so it doesn't feel like a regular home game or away game.

in my player we shud be able to work out and be selected to an international team like USA or Brazil... our home country's.... play for the gold medal evry 4 years
