i looked for the ninja tuner and it wasn't there i couldn't download it. but overall I like the patch . as far as backing up goes as long as your not trying to go from one side of the ring to the other I don't have a problem with the stamina .

This GAME isn't about effective BOXING any Longer.
Its about Brawling, I am RANK as well but not as high as you but in the bottom thousand.

I can no longer use the STICK & Move strategy either.
Now we're force to stand in front and take a beaten.
It makes no sense that ALI can't now avoid Punches or Body Punches from a good Body Puncher in this game any longer

Then on top of that, by round 4, 5, & 6 your TO TIRED to do anything.
and that is just throwing 1 or 2 punches a time and pausing for 5 to 10seconds.
It's pathetic, to be honest. I made a huge rant in the other patch thread, so I won't do it again. All I'll say is that the ability to make an opponent miss and then make him pay is one of the fundamental aspects of boxing. Counter punchers move around the ring. It's as simple as that. In this game, I had tons of success sticking, moving, using angles, making opponents miss, and then punishing them. My opponent connect percentage was typically in the 30s while mine was in the 50s, and that's just my style. It's a style that emulates tried-and-true boxing strategy, and it's completely gone now.

Ohhhh. Meth, I thought it was just me lol. I did read that there would be a penalty to stamina for backing up but it appears that this penalty has really murdered my experience. I too am a stick and mover and I was wondering why my stamina was damn near gone in like the 4th round.

I feel like I run the game as close to reality as you can get (hardcore sim head man) but they've effectively cancelled outside fighters. You have to stand in the box and flail away now. Wow.

1 or 2 jabs then backing up will kill your stamina by the 4th or 5th round. I'm having problems against the body jab spammers now. I was furious lol. I'm like, how does this dude have more energy than me while he's throwing 6-10 punches in a row while I'm throwing 1 or 2 jabs and maybe a hook?

Looks like they didn't distinguish a difference between runners and stick and movers. Damn.

I love to stick n move as well .. but i think you might be over reacting about this. you can still stick and move as much as you want but the stamina does go down regardless. the object of the game is to out box. staying on your heels will only get the job done if you have to made an attempt at attacking sometime. none of the boxers in FNC represent a running technique... arguably Sugar Ray and Oscar but most of those guys are fighters who squared up and some were very elusive while they were in front of you.

the thing im learning is the guys i fight online are heavily using the modified punches early. Modified punches is one of the reasons opponents steal rounds from you so you have to be aware of this and act accordingly. sticking n moving would work proper but not til later rounds ..as it should.. so yeah there is some adjusting we have to do...

Ignorant statement of the week?

I stick and move and have very little problem with stamina, it only comes into play when I'm up against a high pressure fighter, it takes more energy to keep him off me, which is more realistic than you think.

#1: Stay off of the ropes! The ropes slow you down, meaning you have to lean on the stick longer to move less distance, thus consuming more stamina.

#2: Running across the ring and back is not stick n move. More like move-move-move n stick, and it takes a ton of stamina.

#3: Learn to pick your spots. Stick n move is all about knowing when to throw, when to move, when to just cover up, and when to just stand 5 feet away and rest. Against high pressure fighters I'll spend a good amount of time just letting them bounce punches off of my arms and blast them with the occasional uppercut combo. If they are smart they will back off, if not they get stamina drained and KO'd.

Seems to me like people got spoiled. It was way to easy too just dash all around the ring with little or no stamina effect before the patch.
