Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon

took 15 points in the 4th to win it 22-21. The Spread Option is gonna be one hell of an offense this year. Gameplay is similar to 11, but the tackling, better blocking makes it feel was more polished. Still wish there was more momentum, but I won't complain. Playbooks are different as far as scrolling through them, so that'll take some getting used to. Also, grass during gameplay looks the same as before lol. FSU/Alabama time.

what?

I love football too much to not buy the game
I'd say the thing about Gilbert is realistic

The warping seems to be pretty well controlled . . . had a run by my QB on a broken play where in the past the MLB would have gotten him after about 3 yds. Without the warping effect my QB was able to stay just far enough away to scamper in the end zone.

Liking what I see so far.

Yeah the playbook scrolling isn't exactly my favorite, but once I get used to it things should be easier. I like this game, doesn't seem like a whole lot has changed since last year, just more refined. Defenses seem slightly faster, which is nice and the new intro is designed just like the new (last year's) college gameday intro.

For anyone with the game does it seem like the home team have any kind of home field advantage, and also how is the crowd? Do they seem engaged into the game and get loud?

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon

here's my take on the demo

Pros:
1. You & the AI can run out of the spread.
2. Option seems less effective.
3. Designated QB runs and draws are effective.
4. Screens work.
5. Good job with inaccurate passes/incompletions.
6. No Psychic DBs.
7. Deep ball not automatic.
8. Cpu Offense can run from single back sets.
9. Zone D is Realistic.
10.Pass rush is effective.

Cons:
1. CPU Still blitz CBs too much.
2. CBs very aggressive vs. outside runs. In the backfield a little too quickly imo.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon

I think the on-field gameplay plays well -- I thought this last year as well. I saw a beautiful diving catch! It made me particularly happy b/c I've seen so many instances in Madden when the receiver makes no play for the ball.

What plagues this game for me is that it's boring. Even though there were several instant replays (liked that a lot), it still feels like traditional EA call play-run play-call play-run play. There's cutscenes in between and what have you, but it doesn't feel like a broadcast to me.

Slap some outstanding in-game presentation on this game, and we've have something spectacular. Maybe they'll follow suit next year with what Madden is doing this year.
