Again, the devs, since this is a video game forum, aren't purely interacting with adults. There will be children on here, so if the developers want to interact with people on this forum, they have to expect that there will be some childishness.
But you conviently left out the 1st part of your post which is entirely wrong. Sounds like I'm at the ok corral. You made a lousy game, now, ready, aim fire.

Maybe those people "returned the volley" by spitting in the devs faces (so to speak) because that's what they felt was done to them, and they were just returning the volley. I really don't see how the developers could have expected anything else.

That, by no means, is justifiable.

I have to disagree. Valid criticism gets run over by a truck here quite often. And with developers and game designer, it gets personal. What I mean is, developers put so much into something that harsh criticism is taken personally. It's human nature. And there are a lot of people on OS that attack ANY criticism. It does happen quite frequently.

Personal attacks, and they also happened here and far to much of it, is intolerable.

What I am talking about which led to a loss of dev intetraction had nothing to do with valid criticism. As others have said, the devs were actually threatened with physical harm. It was so venomous and so personal it was truly unbelievable. I don't blame them for abandoning ship.

I've had plenty of criticism for this game but I am not going to call a dev a POS because I don't like some design decision they made.

Had that, Intellivision, too. SportsTalk, etc....For their time they made me very happy. So did Atari Circus and the little teeter-toter.Heck, I didn't hate E.T. on the Atari as much as the rest o the civilizedworld did. I am happy enough with Madden to buy it. But I'd be lying if I didn't say that I'm more happy with NBA2k and Fifa. I'd like to be equally happy all around. Not too much to ask, no? Maybe that is in all of our mutual futures. That's all I really want....

Like I said, personal attack are not justified. But if you put out a sub par product for as long as they have, while any alternative are taken away, then you have to expect angry customers. Again, personal attacks are not justified.

Who remembers XOR football (PC). I remember when I thought that was the greatest thing. Sure would like to find it somewhere and install it for giggles.

The other products not being there had nothing to do with the devs. This was far beyond just angry customers.

I played the crap out of it. It's abandonware. You can download it. It's out there.
