I know nothing about hockey but I want to rent this game. Look at the crowd behind those guys. If it has a Be A Pro mode that is enjoyable I will at least get my GameFly's cost for the rental out of the game.

They never really challenge you when entering their defensive zone. Like you said Cheechoo, they just skate backward and kinda take a position.
"You’ll notice CPU defensemen anticipating being caught and backing off the blueline or defensive forwards back-checking harder and getting deeper in the defensive zone to support their defensemen who is in trouble."

I am hoping that more active back checking forwards will allow them to program more aggresive Dmen logic.

Good catch on the quote, Bukktown.

The quote does sound promising, of a possibly more defensive minded gameplay.

Um... 2011 was the year for the Bruins. I guess you mean 2012?

Re: EA Producer Blog: NHL 12 Gameplay

first thing am gonna do is check for bugs and glitches in NHL 12 then post them in NHL 11 forums =P and camera problems =P cause i counted 4 - 5 bugs in Be A NHL Player of NHL 11 which i didn't have time to post them
cause i didn't know who to ask or who to find to report these in terms of game play thats pretty much it =P game woulda been good if someone took the time play the game in 2 week span find these bugs & camera problems
and glass reflection error it show's them with very white pads and big pads and stuff it doe's ain't look natural & shot and slap shot accuracys & one-timer accuracys: all of them 0 / 0 were broken only way to get them to miss was put : one-timer accuracy: 1 / 1
