See, that's the thing. You haven't backed up anything. Anyone can quote mine. Also, the words of a "professional scout" means absolutely nothing. It's a shame that you think that it does.

I know what (not who) to trust, what to go on and what I've seen, as well.

I understand. No hard feelings from me, I can get into an argument and not go and cry about it and say some guy told me I was wrong. Now this is meaning nothing to what we've been talking about, I just want to show some people what the Nationals are actually dealing with, temper wise. Ok, again, erase what me and Jason were talking about because this is just for people who have never seen him play.

This isnt off topic. But anyway.. I have Harper on all my teams and am making him go thru a year or two in AAA. Ive used him quite a few times and he plays in game just like hes rated.


I love the rosters, but to have Trout's ratings and Bryce's ratings sooooo far off is one of the things that irritate me. And Knight, they arent far off. Harper is hitting more for power while trout isnt.

Trouts stats from 2010 about were like this:

AVG: .341 HR10 73BB 85K OBPS .918 and I thought this was interesting... only 3 GIDP

Now Harper thru 225 PA

AVG: .340 HR13 31BB 45K OBPS 1.045 and has grounded into 4 douple plays

And fielding wise, Trout has 2 errors thru 221 games played, and Harper has 2 errors thru 53 games.


Both are great. But in the game wise, Harper is superior far more than he should be in my opinion.

Don't put the words I say in 100% meaning, but for some reason I think the game rates some players higher. I haven't tested this 100% but sometimes I have players with terrible contact and such, take for instance, I was messing with my Cubs the other day and after editing I noticed Geo and Koyie Hill were equal. I went back and checked and Geo's contact and power were all about 20 points higher, his fielding was maybe 5-10 off Koyie and they were exactly the same. Also, Koyies discipline and other stuff was also lower. Is this worth checking into? I also think that outfielders have higher ratings for some reason. I have no idea if this is true so don't quote me on it.
