Goalie fighting...

Sounds like EA is throwing a bone to all the 9-year-olds that play this game...

As a strictly offline player (who would want nothing more than to actually play a full season and beyond in BAGM) I wish they'd actually work on this game from that standpoint. As long as you have idiots playing online, you'll NEVER fix that.

So give us offline users some love and fix the user vs. cpu physics / gameplay...

The puck size made such a big difference in terms of realism for me. It would be great if we could occasionally see rolling pucks, knuckle shots and weird bounces off the rink plexiglass.

Saying that, you'd not want to lose against too many goals like Bieksa's winner against the Sharks.

Agreed, it was honestly my favourite feature in NHL 11. And that's not a slight against the game, I've just wanted realistic puck size/no puck shadow for-****ing-ever in this series.

I definitely wouldn't want weird bounces to be a selling point (and I wouldn't put that past them), but it would be great if they were just made possible by having a more realistic and lively puck.

I don't know much about soccer and only played the games casually so maybe I'm way off, but I always thought the FIFA games did a good job with the ball feeling relatively realistic. Am I wrong?

I think puck physics get improved each year, but it would be nice if they would REALLY overhaul them for an iteration. Then use the new puck physics as a headlining feature instead of something like goalie fighting. I'm assuming the marketing "experts" at EAC assume that "realistic puck physics" wouldn't draw in the casual fan, but it'd still be nice to see for all of us.

Then again we don't know how much improvement NHL 12 has made in the puck physics area. Without being a back of the box bullet, it could still be vastly improved. We'll see.

Your hopefully in luck Therion. In one of the info releases, rolling pucks and knuckle shots were mentioned for '12'. Nothing about weird bounces though.

still not convince of buying thus no excitement here for me. i want to know if the issues in BaGM are addressed. if not, not going to buy. i'll wait for 2-3 months after the release if there's a big overhaul in BaGM if not, i'll just keep playing NHL 2011.

I'll believe when I see. I won't hold my breath on these adjustements.

I guess there's too much time spent on programming goalie interference, glass breaking and new ways to improve hitting that was so soft in NHL 11.

Maybe they will improve these things, but until proven, I'm a doubter!
