APF 2k8. That was an NFL game. NCAA license is up this year. After that, any company can make a game.

lol man I'll give it to you. You had me going this whole time.

APF2k8 is my only other option and, despite what you say, it is not an NFL game. Can I play as my hometown Philadelphia Eagles in it? It's also, you know, 3 years old.

So I guess the answer to my question is: No, I can not buy another NFL or NCAA game because EA Sports makes the only one available. And why is that? Because they bought the exclusive license. Case closed.

I think we disagree with your argument about the features being 100% necessary for the functionality of the game.

If you want to be upset about them marketing the features as "already in the game" I can understand that. I can't understand the argument where you state the features are 100% necessary for the functionality of the game.

The new features are a luxury within the game

It's a subjective opinion one way or the other. There are NFL players in it, right?

To you case closed, I wouldn't expect anything else because you tried to closed off every opinion that someone countered with.

No, there are no NFL players in it. There are players who used to play in the NFL but there are no current NFL players, as far as I know.

The fact that you even answered my question with that suggestion proves to me and should prove to everyone else that EA does in fact have an effective monopoly on the pro and college football game genre.

It's still not a monopoly. Exclusive licensing and monopolies are different animals with different connotations.
