I already said a 2 year cycle would likely never happen, but when the topic comes up (and it was brought up several times in this thread) I will lend support to the idea. It would alleviate many issues.

Sales are down with Madden at least @ who asked about EA losing money on games.

Sales being down does not equal losing money.

Further I don't think a longer dev cycle would change anything unless they change what they focus on.

2 year cycle would improve all sports games tremendously across the board. Sure other dev put out good sports games but very few consistently out out great games. And when they do, the follow up often has hype that they can't measure up to because they set the bar too high with the last game. 2 hear cycle allows a company to set their goals very high, and sky is the limit with ambitious developers with the time needed to innovate.

Sure, they can still turn a profit but if sales plummet past predicted numbers when they made the deals, then they lost out on money they thought they would be making when they signed those exclusive deals.

I think they can change what they focus in with more time to develop.

Kind of a dumb question, but I've been asking for this for the past decade.

If I'm looking at my HB ratings, I'd really like to be able to scroll to the pertinent ones first (spd, acc, agi, etc...) WITHOUT having to scroll through their tackling ability, defensive awr, etc...

Did they do that this year? It just seems so logical and so easy to implement yet it continually gets overlooked every year.
