All these mascot upgrades are great, but my mascot is never right. Just once before I die, can you put the rifle in the Mountaineers hand? I don't care if he never shoots the damn thing, but please, for the love of god, he looks like a complete dork without the rifle. Is there some type of rule, that if a rifle (even one that doesn't fire real bullets or shot) shows up in a video game, that it can't get the 'E' rating? Let common sense prevail, and fix this.

Well Chase said he only played exhib mode maybe College Gameday is only in Dynasty Mode like Extra Point in Madden. (Wishful Thinking) And can someone tell me the obsession with chain gangs is it just that they add more immersion to the game?

"Looks like a dork" LOL! That cracked me up.

Well, you can blame our paranoid society. You know if they put a gun in his hands some kid is going to shoot somebody and blame it on EA.

I was hoping to see more flexibility with depth charts, formation subs, and packages. Maybe having strongside/weakside positions instead of left/right, or being able to specify slot recievers and outside recievers, or 3rd down backs. Could you see if there were any changes like this made in play-now, or would that be more of a custom-playbook or dynasty feature?

Re: NCAA Football 12 Preview

The presentation looks upgraded. Nice job incorporating more college-specific imagery. So many of these schools have their own rituals, that it's not enough to show teams running onto the field with index fingers up year after year. This gets closer to excitement of the college game.

Smart zone coverage is good to see. Custom play books are huge, a major asset for dynasties or online play. My next question is the execution of the option. I hope this game ships with minimal bugs, and patches worsen it. NCAA 11 was good, but NCAA 12 looks better. All the info released was worth the wait.

Yawn, the same old, same old yearly patch up, wake we up when they get a real physics engine (ie Backbreaker). Its the same old canned aninmation engine they have been using since 2001.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Preview

It really seems like the formula for making a successful football simulation game finally arrived at EA's door step.

This whole gen their idea was ignore the basics of football and add eye catching features. Have those features be poorly implemented therefore poorly received. Only to scrap that feature add another poorly implemented feature and repeat the cycle over and over again. There is no way any sport series can be successful unless they find a way to represent the basics then go from there. Welcome to the 21st century EA let's try and stay here this time around.
