Vick is too controversial to be a coverboy and Hillis just is not a big enough name (although it's still the only NFL game around so could get away with putting anyone on the cover)

Meanwhile Aaron Rodgers is a superbowl champion and a rising star...Seems like the most likely choice.

I mean every single Giant, Cowboy and Redskin fan surely voted against him. So how does he run away with each weekly vote again?
Plus, its not like he's getting the red state votes.

Probably because he's possibly the most popular player in the NFL as evidinced by his pro bowl votes.

He led brady by 40k with 2 weeks to go (probably as marketing kicked in full gear as the total number of votes nearly doubled).

Vick is simply very popular. Sure, there are reverse jinx votes and whatnot in this poll, but to think that's a meaningful number is silly (outside of the Charles/MJD 50%/50% matchup). Most are surely just voting for who they want on the cover.
