I'm voting for Hillis, absolutely. I have absolutely nothing against Vick. He did his time, and I don't care about the dog thing anymore, not one bit. It's just that it's going to be HILARIOUS to see Peyton Hillis on the cover. I want it to happen, really bad.

Peyton Hillis is like a better faster, stronger, and more flexible version of Mike Alstott. Peyton Hillis is the winner. I Hope.

Even though I am a big Mike Vick fan and voted for him. I wont mind at all if Hillis is selected and wont be surprised. Hillis basically blew out everyone.
It is funny how the two candidates that first promoted the cover tournament ended up the last two candidates.
I am surprised that Rodgers didnt make it though. If there was no tournament to try to market the game, he would have been the choice.I think they tried to have the finals Vick vs Rodgers.
I dont really like repeat covers like MLB the show, NBA 2k with Shaq.
Hopefully with Hillis on the cover the run game is better for Power back
Everyone likes a underdog story.

Guys please keep the dog talk out of this discussion so we can keep this thread open.

We've been down that road, numerous times, and it never ends well...

But if they wanted to put a more well know player on the cover for sales, why did they have a cover voting contest when they can slap on any player they want?

Beyond me..
Since when has EA let an opportunity go by when they didn't hype something incessantly? There's a 10+page thread in the NCAA forum about an announcement on them bringing back patches - not introducing them, there's an announcement that they're bringing them back. And people are actually giving them credit for doing so - like they expect something to be taken away lol. They're already spending lots of money to hype Battlefield 3, and that doesn't come out for another 6months. I understand it's their attempt to place the title in Call of Duty/Halo territory, but I can only imagine what's coming if this is six months out.

Either way, the contest was announced right at the beginning of the NCAA tourney, and featured a NCAA-like contest to attract attention. I don't blame them for trying to take advantage of March Madness hype, but essentially it's just that - hype. I know Hillis is seen as the unlikely "upset" pick, but again, Vick and Hillis were the ones EA used to announce the contest. It could just be a coincidence, like people say it was just a coincidence EA signed the NFL/NCAA/ESPN/Arena League all to exclusives within months of each other. But it's just a little too coincidental, imo.

Regardless, as I said it's less than insignificant as far as I'm concerned. Just saying it was suspect and seems more like hype than a legit user contest. I don't get why some here are mad at Vick being one of the finalists; wasn't he one of the leading vote-getters for the Pro Bowl last year? It's deserved (as is Hillis to some degree).

Voted for Hillis...Simple because Vick has already been on the cover and Peyton dominated FF for me this year!

I don't know who this Hillis guy is, i barely get any Cleveland games here in Connecticut. I thought he was a rookie, but it looks like hes a third year guy....wow

It would be insane for a guy like him to win cause i'm pretty sure a good population of fans don't know who the guy is.

Tell that to Donovan McNabb.

Besides, regardless of who wins, if I get the game, I'll use a custom Charlie Sheen cover...
