I do own both systems.

Two questions.

Is there a list of the differences in the versions and bugs so I can compare the 2 versions?

Also my only wheel is the official Xbox steering wheel so what version do you all recommend for me? Would the better option be to to buy the game for the Xbox with my wheel even though it's more buggy or get the PS3 version to use with the dual shock controller?

Thank you in advance and thank you for all the time and effort and knowledge that everyone here shares.

J.

I posted this a couple of days ago and never got an answer. I must have got lost in the shuffle. I'm going shopping this weekend and thought I'd ask again.

Thank you.

I'm not seeing this. Where is it located?

In all honesty, you probably shouldn't use your wheel at this point. There are reports that the XBOX wheel is having issues with the game right now. Once it's patched, I'm sure it will be fine. That could be another month though.

The differences are currently these:

You can use your custom paint scheme online on PS3. ( this will be allowed eventually on XBOX)

You can upload your race replay videos to YouTube exclusively on the PS3.

I will say the game is certainly more immersive with a wheel so if you are able to be patient and have them fix the wheel bug, XBOX is the way to go.

If you want to take your custom paint job online tonight and upload race replays to YouTube than PS3 would be your better option.

Hope that helps you make your decision.

Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with my purchase. I knew the game would be buggy, and considering this is the only NASCAR game that has been released for several years, I'm willing to cut the devs some slack. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who wants to do some sort of multi-year career simulation thing, but it's nice for the casual fan who just wants to grind out a few laps for an hour or so every couple of days.

I'm waiting for a patch (es). What good is a Nascar game if you don't pit? That's half the strategy of the sport---do I come in now for tires and fuel? Do I risk it to stay out in front? Etc.

I don't want a game where I just drive. That'd get boring after awhile. I need the strategy factor to keep it interesting. If they can't get the pitstops (among other things) fixed, I'll pass altogether on this title.

NR2003 has options to shorten races, however, I can still change the pit frequency all the way to where a 10 lap race at Dega requires at least 2 pitstops......

Actually, Lion's fans know this year won't be the year.. They just hope for some sort of an improvement from the last year

The tow truck wasn't the point. The point is that you can't coast in when you run out of fuel while drivers do that in real life.

Hmm, I guess it isn't there in single player race now. Just in career mode I guess.

Then when I did want to pit, I was to hot entering so it just gives me the black flag and doesn't let me pit so I go back around and oops, to hot entering again. So of course it doesn't let me pit and by now I'm out of gas so my race ends. Completely ridiculous.
Yep back to back last place finishes for me at bristol and martinsville, mostly losing laps for illegal pit entry by getting spun out and knocked in there. short tracks need a lot of work.
