It's pretty frustrating to not be able to finish a race because of the game freezing... :

Hey, I'm a professional Pittsburgh sports fan, but every year I go into the season thinking "maybe this is the year!". I guess it's how Lions fans feel.

I just run out of gas while entering pit road and I got a nice arcade GAME OVER when I could have clearly coasted in the pits. It just said you finish 43rd while I was still moving. Really? Why does running out of fuel automatically mean game over? I guess it would have been to hard to throw a caution and show a tow truck pushing you to pit road and have your crew try to re-fire the car. At most you should only lose a couple laps. Such great expectations.

Agreed here you should at least have the opportunity to drift to your pit stall.

Seconded. At least in EA games you could coast in if need be. And NR2K3 did have tow trucks (though not seen) and you would just have to sit in the pits for a few miutes if you ran out of fuel.

I was just poking fun. But some of you people are a little too ridicoulous. Whining about a missing tow truck? As if you actually liked waiting out that 3 minute pit stop just to race down 4-5 laps?

Just curious if anyone has the same opinion, but I actually like NASCAR 09 for PS2 more than the PS3 version (I realize you give up some graphics quality) but I preferred the 2-player / split screen option, thought the cars were more controllable and like the addition of the NY City Fantasy Track.
