Actually it's akin to the AI leaving him out there for 9 innings and all his stats being down to 60%.

I enjoy lapping totaled cars 20 times a race. No big deal though, right?
Look at real race results.they are wrecked cars evey Sunday making laps .70 plus laps down its part of it points racing...its a race within a race its part of nascar

Well I am glad we are back on topic. Thank you mods.

One more impression..I wanted to see how the game handled running out of gas during a race. So what happens is, if you do not make it back to pit road by the tank goes empty (NO COASTING) it is an automatic DNF. I hope that is something that can be addressed in the future.

So anyone who disagrees with the general consensus should be booted out of a conversation?

The game is piece of crap. I know it sucks to hear it. I tried to turn a blind eye too. I was waiting for the first good Nascar game since 2003. All they to do was not have any huge omissions or major flaws. They had 15 years of Nascar games as reference, 2 years to make it, and a developer that was on the 2003 game. Yet they come back with no dnf's and no multiple seasons? That is funny.

The only reason these errors are present is because they know we'll buy it since it's the first game in a while. They also know we will be anxiously awaiting a fixed 2012 version. How can you not see that?
Its not that you are disagreeing with it, that would be ok (IF YOU HAD THE GAME), but you are disagreeing with it in a way that is very immature and not right for this forum. It is not constructive criticism. You dont even have the game, and from the way it sounds like it you never will, so you can never criticize the game

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions

1. Any slider suggestions for a realistic shortened race?

At 10% race length, for example, you would be running only 20 laps at Daytona, which normally would not require any fuel/tire stops. Is there a way to set fuel/tire wear so that you have to pit one or more times during the shortened race. If so, what settings seem to be good?

2. What seems to be a race good % length to give you time to work your way through the field, but not require too much of a time committment/race?

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions

Ok...did a 10 lap test MIS, and here are the results...

Laps 1-5 all low-line running

Lap1 41.81
Lap2 40.94
Lap3 40.37
Lap4 39.99
Lap5 39.62

Laps 6-10 all high-line running

Lap6 40.79
Lap7 40.27
Lap8 41.29(scraped the wall)
Lap9 40.54
Lap10 40.14

Running the low-line I avg. 40.56

Running the high-line I avg. 40.60

So it does seem like the low line is a bit faster, but not by much at all.

Well there are a ton of options in regards to this. You can run standard tire wear & Fuel or X2 or X3 or X4. I still haven't found the perfect settings yet. I really think each track may require a different one depending on race length. Now in regards to race length you can choose from 1 lap to full race in RACE NOW. In career mode, it goes up by percentage with 2 or 3 % being the lowest then it goes up in 10%'s...if that makes sense.

I have been running anywhere between 20-30 percent which feels pretty good so far.

For what it's worth, Amazon just raised its pre-order credit to $25.
