From what I understand, the answer is no. I will double check about the stats though...but it never rolls into 2012, 2013 etc....etc...etc.


BIG EDIT:

I got the answer on Stats continuing after season 1. There are quite a few stats keep running though, like wins, fastest laps etc.

I think it's hard to compare it to a PC game because it still is a console game. NR2003 is definitely more sim. What NTG has is better graphics, options to make the game easier or harder depending on your skill level, and an overall fun experience.

I had read and heard that there would be an adapative AI difficulty but I cannot find it anywhere in the game. Maybe it gets added on with the patch. Let's hope so.
