Re: Top Spin 4 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I read somewhere that the full game is going to be a 4.9 GB install. That's huge for a sports game. And the gameplay should not have a problem running off the disc. I guess this means there is gonna be a huge amount of different cutscenes and animations which should really amp up the presentation. The devs did hint that the demo only exhibited a small amount of the presentation. Hopefully we are in for a pleasant suprise or at the very least the loading times will be minimal because they did seem rather long in the demo.

Fight Night Champion
Tiger 12
and
Top Spin 4 were my most excited titles of March.

I must say after playing the demo, Top Spin 4 has me the most excited of all the games. The demo is really fun and looks to be a quality game.

Same here. I found the demo of TW12 and FNC both to be big disappointments (and aren't getting a cent of my money) and had the lowest expectatations for TS4 but so far it looks like TS4 will easily be the best of the bunch, and judging from the demo, has easily the best presentation and atmosphere.

I pray there are no game killing features for this game. My biggest complaint for the other TS games was the 3 game sets in career mode but since that has apparently been rectified the only thing I have reservations about is the long term value of the gameplay itself.

Online I have no expectations for because there has yet to be a sports game made that didn't have serious online issues and when I realized that online with strangers was pointless then I got alot less frustrated. It's just the nature of sports gaming and that will never change.

Hopefully I can have some good online play with people here who wanna play sim. Offline I'm hoping it shines with a good career mode and there is some good dev support for patches and tuning updates unlike those other 2 games which just slap the face of the consumer once they get your money.

Not sure I'll get this on release day, but I'll definitely be interested in playing online with the guys posting in this thread when I do get it.

PS3, though.

Usual price for a sports game, between $50 and $60.

I hate how you can't view the controls from the pause menu in the demo.

Is there a turbo button? I assumed it was RT (Xbox 360) but I don't see a difference in player speed.

A dev diary was released earlier this week devoted to the controls.
