And what was 2k8 when the pull back started the whole motion, that was fantastic, now a days u can pull the trigger back well b4 the pitcher has begun pitching and then just smash the button up, really liked the old Swing Stick 2.0 I beleive it was reffered to then as

The problem was the there was no real feel for getting the first step timing down, and it made hitting way less fun for most people. In 2K9 most people fixed this by reducing the step influence to zero. I think few enough people used it that it was not worth the time and effort to implement becasue it was much harder to tune in order to get realistic results.

Was only able to play one 3 inning game. used texas and won 1-0 on adrian beltre solo blast.

Good
-Hitting camera
-fielding animations (very smooth)
-Pitching (very fun, much better than the show)
-Dosent fell as arcadie as last year, more simulation feel to it
-Was able to work the count and computer worked the count against me also
-Love all the stat overlays like your stats after a certain pitch count. for instance i was batting with ian kinsler a good hitter went down 0-2 real quick and says he was .239,0,0 with an 0-2 so i think well maybe we should use a contact swing with thost stats. ended up ripping a single on the 3rd pitch.

Bad
- fielding camera when your hitting is awful
-there is a small hiccup on fly balls with the framerate drops for a quick second.(not game breaking)

All in all i was very impressed. i havent really sat down and played 2k in 2-3 years i always bought the show, but the show felt stale last year and proabably will this year two. im thinking i just may only buy 2k. obviously 2k full game is gonna have a fair share of bugs but what game dosent. i mean i play fifa more than any game and that game seems to be know as the most buggiest game out there. i guess well just have to wait till next tuesday to get the full veridct but for once i look forward to a 2k baseball game release.

Well I put the game default on hard and the game does play hard so I apologize to the poster who said this would be the case.

Zito could not get anybody out and what is worst, your infielders move much slower with no awareness

But what pissed me off is that I was robbed of 2 hrs in the same inning.

Incredible

Ok I just deleted this darn demo.

This better be fixed because it is a game breaker

I just hit a bomb with Huff and was robbed of the homer and the inning ended. But I got a hit and a run for that out

Darn, I do not know how to make that pic smaller but as you can see the Rangers are batting in the top of the second and is 7-1 score with me having just one hit. When I did not get a hit since the first 2 batters were outs and the 3rd Huff hit a bomb that was robbed at the fence for an out and the inning ended but I got the run and hit.

Notice that my next scheduled batter is Ross who bats 4th

I'm as big a fan of The Show as any person on these boards and would like to see SOME minor elements of that game implemented in 2K's (which I mentioned in my impressions earlier in the thread). But what I definitely don't want is The Show Jr., which it seems some people are asking for.

There is no reason why any open-minded individual can't enjoy TWO baseball games, especially with two games that approach the game of baseball so differently. The Show is the most polished, authentic replication of any sports game out there (imo) so yeah, its better than the 2K game. And of course this game is missing that level of polish that The Show has. This series has bounced from one developer to another and another, never being allowed to fully realize their respective vision for the game. The Show has had largely the same dev team working on it for close to a frickin decade. How can you compare the two fairly?

I, along with many on here, like where this game is headed. If you don't like it, nobody is telling you that you have to. But when I read that the pitching in this game is stupid/unrealistic/worse than The Show's etc. then I am led to believe that an individual is hating for the sake of hating. The pitching in this game is arguably the most organic analog control scheme ever created for a sports game. Its fair to say "its not for me". Not fair to say any of the other criticisms I've read in here and it makes me question the poster's motive and dis-regard their "opinion" altogether.

Great posts.
I personally have played the show since 08 because the transition from 2K7 to 2K8 was really bad for me. Now every year the show gets better polish and gets better playing, I still root for 2K to up their game( so to speak).
Last year I purchased 2K10 along with the show but still couldnt commit to the game and was my "pick up and play" game. I hate the bashing that goes on here. When Sony introduces a new feature it makes me happy that they are improving and the same thing with 2K. Last year and so far this year they are making great improvements to their game and I love it.
Reminds me of the days when there was no baseball exclusive license and there was real competition between developers of baseball games; MLB, ESPN, All Star Baseball, High Heat, etc.
