Re: Backbreaker 2 Confirmed

This sounds great and all, but you guys are posting a wishlist for a game you have never even played. Your wishlists are based off of assumptions that you will love the game. While I am not trying to be negative (cause I am excited for the game too), I am trying to be realistic. What happens if the game comes out and completely flops? Ever thought of that? I am going to play BB 1 first for a while, get my impressions, THEN post in this thread for wishlists.

Re: Backbreaker 2 Confirmed

Generally, everyone is on the same page with what we'd like to see in 2. I think the Devs get it, they have explained their design before and it basically equated to "we have a small dev team, we chose a design early, stuck with it, made the game we could" kind of attitude.

Thankfully they spent nearly all their time working on gameplay. And i'd say BB2 is very likely to come out seeings as nearly EVERYONE thought BB 1 would never come out. These guys can make a game in a recession and against all competition odds. BB 2 is going to be a no-brainer after june 1st.

these are just the things we know NOW...im sure there will be others once we get the game in our hands. these items we're screaming now wont change tho cuz theyre already seen and/or known not to be included in the game. only thing that will happen is the list gets longer and more prioritized based on how small/big the newer found problems are after launch.

Tone down the pads. Not a assumption.

More specific body definition for specific positions. Not having almost every player looking like a TE. Not a assumption.

Complete control over customizing weight and height or at least a variety of average height and weight for specific positions. Not a assumption.

I would like every visor on every player to go or at least have clear visors If they must have one for futuristic purposes. Not a assumption.

Helmets popping off(not consistently). Not a assumption.

Ball carriers/ O-line getting lower. The jukes are to stiff IMO and the the runner is to up right. Assumption.

Fix the QB throwing animation. Not a assumption.

I'm sure there will be more but, this stuff would go a long way for a lot of people .

So what exactly in my wishlist is a assumption?

Just about everything I listed is based off facts that these things need to be improved and/or added. I mean the QB throwing animation is a gimme, people know it doesn't look natural and don't even get me started on the pads. The only thing I can see that would be an assumption is my O-line/Running back comment.

I didn't care for Red Dead Revolver because of the choppy game play but Red Dead Redemption is the best game I have ever played.

The use of horses and the wild west had not been done yet and they took what they learned from Revolver and tweaked into the best game to date IMO.

All of this.

Make weight and strength more of a factor.

Let me edit individual players, in any mode.

Make players twist, bend, and refuse to go onto their backs.

Add the ability to comp down logos to 1 layer.

Make uniforms even more customizable.

Maybe not for BB2, but start now getting play by play announcing work done, so it doesn't suck for the future.

DEFINATELY, add a stick configuration that lets us use buttons to pass, but still lets us use the analogs to run. My main concern with this is when I have a wide open reciever and I go to lob him the ball, but only seem to switch recievers. A way you could fix this is to have the QB switch recievers out of focus mode then only focus to make the throw. That way when you're ready to throw you won't switch. Wow, that was pretty easy.

if only madden had its graphics, with backbreaker physics, and 2k's presentation. That would be a perfect football game.
