I was more referring to the lack of a challenge when facing the CPU. But hey, I never played 10, so perhaps the CPU did put up a good fight. I felt like 09, once you mastered the controls, it was too easy to beat the CPU and in the EA Demo, I never got the feeling that the CPU was going to put up enough of a fight to make the game challenging over the long haul.

EA MMA is the best fighting game IMO ever brought to the market .Period.

no blind love here, i had ufc09 & 10 way before eamma, an still like THQ's game, just wish it were up to the same speed as EA MMA's Fight Engine

Eventually, I hope, EA gets the UFC license though, seriously..

I thought this as well but was surprised it was the opposite. Playing the retail version the AI is much smarter. Ratings really matter so as long as the AI fighter has decent stats, its usually a good fight. Its actually really difficult to go through career mode undefeated.

And as for EA getting the licence, you have as much chance of that happening as you do a cross promotion of UFC/Strikeforce. You can dream, but everytime you post something about it people are going to comment how its not going to happen.

I dont think THQ has near the depth in their pockets that Electronic Arts does. It could happen.
I'd much rather see positive changes in Undisputed though. I really like the game, dont mistake that.
And, I am truly excited to see what both devs (ea & thq) do next with the games.
Additionally, I am looking forward to checking out Supremacy MMA too.

LOL been down this road before. Search for the thread that was posted when the UFC gave the exclusive licence for another few years. You must not know Dana White hates EA more than he likes money.

09 was the best, but I played the crap out of it, and it's hard to go back to an old game even if it's successor was worse because even still it did have more moves and complexity and more organic mauy thai clinch.

Fight night champion I'm hoping will be my combat sports title for many months, nba2k11 is the overall sports king imo uh-mazing.
Yea AllB, the patch came out several months back. I hated the game with a utter passion before the patch and once it dropped I had EA MMA just released so I did not give it a fair shake.

After playing EA MMA for a while I quickly learned to hate a few things.

First off....The CPU AI is to good at subs on the high level so you must play on lower levels to not get subbed every fight without a chance. So then you are stuck playing at a lower level you can compete with the CPU in the submission department. But makes striking, ground game, and clinch against the CPU to easy.

Next is online.....Online has been ruined by button spammers. It is not even worth playing it online in my opinion.

Online against another stick users and the game is one of the best MMA games out there.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

I think FNC is going to really come out as the superior combat game honestly.

How does FNC compare to these games?
I am shocked myself as writing it. But like you said, online button spam ruined EA MMA for me!

If you plan on playing online, then yes. If you plan on just playing offline, then I say no.
