You're not alone. UFC 09 is one of my favorite games of all time.

thats very interesting, and would somewhat justify my current online win-loss record:

anyway, still love the hell out of the game
best fighting game ever, hands down

i used to be more of a team-sports gamer, and longed for a decent-realistic mma game, THIS IS IT!

EA MMA RULES
I gave up playing online. I still have a decent "ranked" record but after facing multiple hook spammers my last couple fights I switched to "unranked"

My current "ranked record" is 34-8 and I held a Welterweight belt twice and currently still hold one. Total of 4 belts held in 3 weight classes.

So I am no push over at the game. It is just that I got tired of explain to EA the issues with the game and them saying "There is nothing wrong". So I basically shelved it.

i always play ranked

and i actually held the HW belt 3 times only to have stripped away immediately

i have found that hours of practice/offline play in career mode/fightnow, has helped my game immensely

i Career-CAF'd Junior dos Santos, and havent lost with him yet online

something i really like....
even though you gotta fight 40 times to max out a players attributes in career mode,
i love how the ratings are much much higher (compared to simply creating a fighter) and you get 2 additional special moves

not to mention, you know how you use the fighter very well

this game is so freaking good, and i cant see anywhere for improvements
ha

guess i wouldnt mind a few extra features (cpu vs cpu, higher limit on downloadable&create-a-fighter, etc.)

I know THQ has the UFC license, but i wonder if that completely stops EA from including any fighter in the UFC??? it'd be nice if there were more heavyweights

thats mostly all i fight with

There are several former UFC heavyweights that have come and gone which are still fighting in various MMA promotions that could be included as DLC. Too bad they haven't done that or even throw out a few of the newer guys that have graced StrikeForce's door since the release of this game.

If EA could do something similar to what was done with UFC's career mode for MMA 2 than there is some longevity. I just hate that you fought 40 fights and pretty much that was it. The career should have gone until you reached a certain age or you retired your character.

i think thats a great idea about DLC fighters
as long as they are completely realistic & authentic
but the CAF & fightershare are freaking awesome and there is so much detail with CAF
i mean ive created lesnar, cain, and JdS and the amount of detail available is amazing and makes for a very realistic creation (with or with photogameface)

i can take or leave 40 fights, i wouldnt mind if it were only 20 or 30, but yeah, a retirement option would be cool, as long as they kept it fair as far as attributes

Hopefully for MMA 2 we see some of these things as a part of the career mode. This game sucks online, its just button spammers after button spammers. I guess if I want to play online, I have to stoop down to button spamming like the rest of the jokers.
