Response in bold:

The gameplay is horrible I used too love the sticks in the last fight night games now they suck. I can't do what I want too do I have zero control, I try too double up on the jab and end up jab and end up throwing a hook. I try to throw 2 punches and end up throwing a four punch combo it's a joke.

This is entirely on you, not the game. You're the one inputting the commands to make the game throw a four punch combo or a jab, hook instead of a double jab. When I played earlier this afternoon I threw plenty of double jabs on command. If anything I struggled with the uppercut, but again, that's on the user, not the game.

Its super hard to throw bodyshots.

No it's not. Hold L trigger and punch. Simple as that.

And who in there right mind thought one button blocking was a good I idea? That right there totally kills the game for me. I read a reply saying now you can box!! Lol child please it's impossible too represent the sweet science in this game. It's a straight all out war every fight gotti ward out there. Now all a person have too do is hold block let the CPU block for you and then throw 10 punch combo and repeat. It doesn't matter if you throw a body or head shot cause the CPU will block for you, it's cheese at it's finest.

This is also wrong. If a guy wants to hold down the block button, let him. It wears out his blocking meter, allowing you to punch through his guard much more easily, even if he is holding block. That's why the key to blocking is to time the attacks by pressing on the R trigger, not holding.

The demos is good. Some things will take time to get used to. It's a different game for sure. More emphasis on offensive game, more realistic animations but a dumbed down blocking system as a result. I like how it's easier to throw combinations, but it makes the game easier and thus more shallow mechanically. It remains to be seen if strategically, this is a better game than FN4. The footwork I think it better than FN4 thanks to the lunges. The camera angle and presentation is better. The commentary by Teddy and Joe can seem old when you hear something from FN4. But overall, it's still better than most sports games commentary. There are a lot of new features I like, but in the ring, after playing this demo, FN4 is still on it's feet.

And the same cutscenes, bone crushing counters, absurdly high connect %'s (been down this road plenty of times before), moose in quick sand footwork, and stale commentary tends to make me feel that the game is in fact largely a rehashed version of FNR4. Also, I find it kind of funny that you're calling FNR4 a "terrible" game now (I wouldn't even call that game terrible), but you use to debate people in this very forum on the merits of that game. Now, am I saying that this game isn't somehow better than Fight Night Round 4? No, but as I stated in my initial post, I was hoping for a better representation of the sport of boxing. I used the actual sport as a barometer (the main key when I'm judging a sports) AS well as the previous iteration of a game (secondary), and then I go from there.

And before someone in here pulls the "You're expecting a perfect game" card on me, far from it. Commentary, foot movement that doesn't look like each fighter has a 150 Ibs ball & chain on each ankle, presentation improvements (across the board), a depreciation in stamina (yet to be determined, but again, down this familiar road), better tendencies and behavioral likenesses from each respective fighter via A.I (etc, etc, etc) are all things that I don't think are too much for boxing fans to ask from a game that's touting realism, and most of these things aforementioned have been talked about ad-nauseum for years in regards to this series.

There's nothing wrong with comparing the FNR4 & Champion and trying to derive positives from the comparisons, but don't try to convince me that Fight Night Champion is a "completely different animal" from round 4 because I adamantly disagree. Also, take a look at the things that you've listed that has supposedly turn this game into a "different animal." Improvements maybe (even that can be debated as I'm not a fan of auto blocking), a small nuisance that may add something to the game, maybe, "different animal" type changes in gameplay, I completely disagree.

In other related news, all hope is not loss on the commentary front. I heard Tessitore describe the action in the ring as "rock em sock em robots" when Ali again tried to slug me into the ground when I was Tyson. Pretty sure that line may have been in FNR4, but I agree wholeheartedly with the description of the action.

Re: Fight Night Champion Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I deleted the demo after five fights.

Playing this demo was actually far worse than watching those demo videos.

There is no sense of boxing skill involved in this game whatsoever. This is not boxing. The best way to describe it is a really cheesy arcade slugfest rockem sockem till somebody drops. The action is way too fast, punches have no pop, stamina seemingly doesn't drain at all and the one button blocking just doesn't work. I don't even understand why they found it necessary to remove the ability to block high and low. The worse part is the delay when punching. It's at least a half second delay and because of it you often end up throwing an extra punch.

That said there is a positive when it comes to the gameplay and that is the full spectrum punch control. They finally got stick punching right.

I changed my mind after playing the game for a very short time. Most of my defense of the game came pre release.

You have trouble with people who disagree with you, don't you?

i have to agree wit Epiffani. this game will never feel like boxing until the movement is fixed.

..can it be fun..sure but because of the movement(or lack of)it does not feel like boxing to me.
