Re: MLB 2K11 Developer Insight #1 - Marketing Looks Back at MLB 2K10

I'm looking forward to more information. I like what I have seen thus far and am anxiously awaiting to hear, as minute as this may seem, if they have the same commentary "engine" as that of its NBA 2k11 counterpart.

Lets face it, that type of commentary would be amazing in a baseball game which is filled with various "down times".

We aren't getting good enough MLB games from a company that sucked up the exclusive license is the actual fact of the matter.

I'm with you, CB. Baseball lends itself perfectly to that 'off the cuff' commentary. I love it when Kellogg and Harlan go off the script, so to speak, during a game in NBA 2K11 and start telling a story about a certain player or team. It really immerses you into the game.

MLB 2K's commentary has been pretty good the past 2 years, I've thought, but there's still room for improvement.

Dont worry commentary will be great like the past two years....That is one part that 2K is doing better than anybody......Guys this year could be the year 2K "get's it"....

Yeah, I've always liked the commentary in 2k, but am hoping that it improves to the levels of NBA 2k11. That commetary in a baseball game =

I am currently playing NBA 2k11 on my PC and it is sooo good man......I understand that MLB 2k11 can not be on the same level different team only 3rd year of development process but commentary will shine this year if they improve it even 20% ......In 2K10 commentary was phenomenal always pointing out things that happened in the last days game and last season....

Re: MLB 2K11 Developer Insight #1 - Marketing Looks Back at MLB 2K10

not to throw gas on a fire but theres really no way to defend 2K here, I really truly and honestly want it to succeed. Why wouldnt I want more baseball games to enjoy? im a finatic of the sport.

"the way we roll" isnt an answer, 2k holds off info so they can jam a bunch (of little things) near release day to to get the impulsive buyers. I usually buy it regardless, but point being if they delved into there info weeks ago it gives customers a better vision of what the games really made of and what it has to offer.
If its not much (like usual) they'll do the impulse buy/ambush info just before hand.
Thats just the impression it leaves when I've been buying Baseball games religiously since 2003.

But taking shots at posters is sad, theres debates than theres petty name calling

What I dont understand is why the info is so scarce....I mean we knew more about Top Spin 4 three months ago than we know about MLB 2k11 45 days before a release date.......I am not saying that they are hiding something but if you look at it it sucks...
