Re: MLB 11 The Show First Gameplay Video: Red Sox vs. Phillies

game looks great. it looks very realistic and lifelike watching this clip. when i go back and play mlb 10 the show tonight on my LG/42inch/720p plasma it will look really clean and crisp...too clean and crisp. there is something about the subtle colors in this clip that i wish i could go home and reproduce on my tv somehow. is this just a change in how mlb 11 the show looks or is there something i can change as far as settings and calibration on my set? for some reason, i love the way mlb 10 the show looks during overcast games because the colors are more subtle and it looks very realistic imo. thx.

One thing I didn't know though is even the D-pad is pressure sensitive. Wow.

I just feel that if bunting was completly tied to pressure sensitivity it would help alot in pulling off on bunt attempts.
I'm not so sure. I think the main reason is the animation system. It's kind of like in fielding were when you hit a trigger and you get sucked into a preset animation. That's how it feels with pulling off of a bunt. You are stuck in that bunting animation...feels like you're stuck in the mud.

Regardless, I just hope the focus on changing up/adding to the hitting system allowed for a fix in that area.

It's that "camcorder" look that makes it so awesome. I love watching games when they're recorded like this, they always look cooler for some reason.

The only thing 2K has over the show is the commentary, but this isnt the place to discuss it because its against the TOS i think, but all ill say is that I think The Show now that they have added Karros this year will have a MUCH better commentary, and I never thought it was poor in the first place.

Ah good. The umpires no longer look like Mr. Incredible before he started working out again.

Are the batting camera's adjustable too? For example, can I lower the camera view closer to the ground from behind the catcher when batting? I thought I read somewhere that you can.

Yup. Batting and Pitching Cams are supposed to be fully adjustable (I believe Russell said pretty much any angle you can get with the replay camera, you can get with them...should be nice). Fielding camera is still the presets (Low, Medium, High, Broadcast-not sure if they adjusted any of these or added anything new though).
